Aurora POV

Today my brother Travis and I were walking to school together as he had no pack business and we were laughing and pushing each other around. We walked into school and as soon as the doors opened I felt on edge like something or someone was here. Travis was smiling when his face dropped as soon as he saw my face

"Hey you ok?"

"Yeah, do you ever get the feeling that something bad is going to happen today?"

"Um no" he looked at me quizzically

We continue to walk when around the corner, I saw him walk with confidence and authority easing off him, he was looking at me with intense eyes. I turned and walked in the other direction.

"Um sis where you going your locker is over there" Travis said as he pointed his finger in the direction of the locker. Then as if he realised my hesitation he saw him. "Oh right. Wait sis let me introduce you"

I turned to Travis "Why?"

"Come on hes a cool guy"

"I can't Travis, look I'll see you later"

"Hey Travis" I heard his deep voice say

"Daxton how are you?"

Nice name Daxton, pity he scares the shit out of me like hes going to be trouble with a capital T.

First bell rang and I was now sitting in English class I had a book pen and that's it. I was sitting happily when in walked Daxton he looked at me and smiled. I rolled my eyes GREAT not. Then I heard him say

"Do you mind if I sit with you?"

"Um I looked around to see there were no other seats available sure"

"Ok class turn to page 16 of your books" Miss Allen said

Shit I forgot to go to my locker before class.

"Um we could share if you like" Daxton said

"Ahh Thanks"

Ok maybe my brother is right maybe he isn't so bad.

I didn't look at him once during class, but I could feel all the daggers in my back from the girls in class staring at me. But they weren't the only ones I could tell in my peripheral vision he was also looking at me. I just ignored it, I didn't want that kind of attention on me. As soon as the bell rang I jumped up out of my seat and packed my bag. I finally looked at him and said "Thank you" as I made a mad rush to get out of class.

I didn't get far before I heard him say
"Wait"

I stopped and turned to look at him but my eyes could not met his so I just looked at the floor

"Yeah"

"Ahh um do you know where I can find the Science labs?" He asked

Damnit really another class together frick this is my worst nightmare

"Argh just follow me, but I have to stop at my locker first to get my books"

"Ok"

I could tell he was smirking.

We walked in silence to my locker and then towards the Science labs together.

"So my name is Daxton and yours is?"

Again not looking at him but straight at the path we needed to take

"Aurora"

"Aurora what a beautiful name"

"Thanks"

"Oh by the way I have something for you"

Hmm I looked at him, what would he have for me, I  watched as he reached into his bag and pull out a book, ok that's weird

"You dropped this when we last met and you ran so fast that I couldn't return it, even after I asked you to wait"

"Oh I was wondering where that was Thank you"

"That's ok, I really love that book, it's one of my favorites, Harper Lee really teaches the reader astonishing truths about little girls don't you think?"

I stood there dumbfounded hes read it what male teenager has read a book let alone this one

"You've read it?"

"Yeah it's one of my favourites"

"Wow"

"Why does that shock you Aurora?"

I shrugged no know what to think

"So you like reading"

"I love reading it's one of most favourite things to do that and the occasional Netflix I suppose"

"Hmm good to know I would really like to get to know you better Aurora would you like to grab a bite after school?"

"Um why?"

He smirked "why what"

I looked at him puzzled "why do you want to get to know me?"

"Well I find you intriguing"

"Intriguing how?" I looked to the ground thinking how does he find me intriguing

He placed his fingers under my chin and I lifted my eyes to meet his for the first time I really looked at him. Wow he really is hot especially those blue eyes, blue like the clear blue sea in Santorini.

"For one you don't seem to be affected by me"

I tilted my head in confusion

"Why do you have some magic powers that make people drop at your feet just by the sound of your voice or something?"

He laughed like full on laughed and I could feel my face heat up with embarrassment, ok that was a dumb thing to say

"I meant you don't seem to look at me like others do, girls they flock to me, boys want to be me, but you Aurora can't even look me in the eyes"

"Oh um weeellll..."

"Tell me"

"Well I kind find you intimidating"

"What...

Then we heard the bell ring

"We better get to class we will be late" I said

He nodded and we walked to class. Daxton scares me he could be my worst nightmare or my guardian angel I'm not sure which one yet.
