He searched for her. She never knew he existed. But destiny has a funny way of bringing two lovers together, but it also has it's fair share of problems along the way. No one said Mates were destined to have an easy life.
I mindlinked Jayla and Travis telling them that I needed to see them asap. And when I told them the news Jayla and I cried. Travis was quiet he was sad but he hugged me and said eventually I was always going to leave the nest, it's just sooner than we thought. I know he said that to make me feel better. But I didn't. Jayla and I went to my room to pack. Daxton would always be in the next room not far from me, but giving me the time and space to say goodbye to my best friend and family. Every now and then Dad would come in and give me a hug then walk out I know this was hard for him. Mum would just stand there crying not saying anything it was like words would fail her.
Travis and I were in the lounge, Jayla went home to get some things and was coming back. And Daxton was sitting not to far away at the kitchen bench pretending like he was reading.
"I'm going to miss you so much, you know you've been the best brother ever, the bestest a girl could ask for." I said
"The bestest aye, I wish I could come with you to make sure your going to be ok, I'm going to worry about you all the time and it's going to be so lonely without you sis"
I cried "I know I want you to come with me too, but who is going to look after Mum and Dad. If we both left it would be a hugh heartache for them, and besides you will be Beta one day I can't take that away from you"
"What are you going to miss the most?"
"I'm going to miss Jayla's sassyness, her funny comebacks, I'm going to miss Dad and his father jokes. The way he laughs like full on belly laughs. I'm going to miss Mum and her annoying comments about my fashion sense. But most of all I'm going to miss when you meet your mate for the first time, your awkwardness, I won't get to meet your mate. You will have pups that I will never get to tell how stupid their father is, or spoil them like an Aunty should. I'm going to miss you most of all. I've never not been without you in my life. Mum and Dad use to travel a lot for pack business or Mums work but it's always been you and me. And that hurts. I selfishly just want to take you away but I know you have worked so hard to be good strong Beta for this pack. It's always been your dream to strengthen this pack. And I know you will, I know you will be so awesome and amazing Travis. Just promise me you will always keep in contact with me. Because I'm so scared of what the future holds for us. And I just need to know your ok always"
"Aww sis this is why I love you, I fricken want to keep you here but I know your rightful place is with Daxton. And I wouldn't keep you from him. You just promise me keep safe remember everything I taught you. And you must also do the same, you must keep in contact. We are going to be fine. I promise"
I nod my head and hug him tightly.
My heart was being chipped at and I was scared, sad and so lost. The one thing in my life I cherished the most I was now losing. And I didn't know how I could keep it.
Late that night we all lay down in the lounge, mattresses everywhere Daxton and I were sharing a mattress Jayla and Travis each had their own. I was so exhausted but I was so scared about tomorrow. Scared of leaving my family scared of my future.
I felt Daxton grab me by the waist and pull me towards his chest.
"I know your not a sleep, I've seen you sleep, are you apprehensive about tomorrow" he asked while laying his head close to my ear.
"Yeah I scared about everything"
"I know you are, but you know your family can always come to visit hell they can even come to live if they wanted too"
"Mum and Dad would love that but Travis and Jayla I can't ask them to do that, Travis has dreams and and aspirations. Jayla has her own family here, and I can't ask her to leave with me"
"I heard you two talking before about Travis wanting to be Beta and making them stronger. Has his dream always been to be a Beta?"
"Hes always want to make strong warriors train them to their full potential, and in this pack that's a Beta duty, Daxton what happens tomorrow?"
"Well we get dropped off to the airport where the royal jetplane will be waiting, with 5 or my personal guards. They will escort us from here until we land in Riverside outside of LA."
"Oh"
"What's wrong"
"I've never left home before"
"Never" he asked shocked
"No never"
"Aaa so this explains your uneasiness"
"Well your going to love it we live amongst the mountains and the views are amazing I promise you will love it baby"
I smiled knowing he was right
"Sleep baby we have a long journey ahead"
"Ok"
When we arrived it was about 1pm we had to drive an hour before we got to his castle and when I mean mansion it is. It was hugh, white pillars stood outside by the entrance door, windows with balconies, there were so many windows, the grounds were immaculately landscaped to perfection. A big fountain in the middle of the drive way. It was an old Victorian style castle, fit for the centuries it has been there. And stairs that look like it went on for miles before you even reached the front door. And there were two guards standing at the foot of the stairs and by the entrance door. And they were all big in size. When we approached I was in awe Daxton was holding my hands
"Welcome home" he said
