"Excuse me"

"You have not eaten since breakfast it is now 3pm and you have been out running and not feeding our pup, why"

"Daxton I didn't do it on purpose!"

"As Queen you need to take care of yourself, what had you so busy you couldn't eat?"

"I was reading" I didn't want to tell him what I was doing

"Right well I'll have to speak to Carlos about your meal times"

"You know what I'll eat your food but don't think that this conversation is over, I don't like how your insinuating I purposely didn't feed our pup."

"Yes well"

"Argh!!!"

I sat there in silence while he moved around the kitchen and when it was ready he placed the bowl in front of me and I ate. I wasn't in the mood for food but because I didn't want to be seen as a bad mother I ate everything and even licked the bowl for his entertainment. Then stood placed the bowl in the dishwasher and walked out of the room

Daxton grabbed my hand "you angry at me"

"Yep"

"Why?"

"I don't know Daxton cause you are being a dick"

Then I pulled my hand away and ran up the stairs to the bedroom. I mindlinked Travis

"Where are you?"

"In the training arena"

"I'm coming to you"

I raced downstairs I passed Daxton office I knew he was in there because I could hear his conversations behind the dark oak doors.

"Hey sis what's going on"

"Oh just wanted to have a spar, but I need to know will this hurt my pup?"

"No, exercise is good for you, because your pup is still only a peanut"

"Good let's start"

We circled each other, each taking the chance to step the other out. When finally he grabbed me by the neck and tried to throw me, but I managed to get a good grip on him and spun him around I had him locked between my arms. Then he maneuvered out of my grip, just as he was about to grip me again I grabbed him by the underarm and threw him over my shoulder and he hit the ground with a thud. Then we heard a loud commanding voice above us

"STOP"

I looked up to see Daxton flying down the stairs at incredible speed. Stood in front of me and growled

"What the fuck are you doing"

He was angry so angry his wolf was appearing and his claws were drawn. And for a split second I was scared. Then he growled

"Aurora what are you doing" he yelled

"Hey backup Daxton she hasn't done anything wrong"

"You will not speak" Daxton said without taking his eyes off me, and then I watched as Travis bowed his head

"Why are you angry"

"We do not allow our women or children to fight and you have just broken one of our customs WHY?"

"Why can't I fight"

"It is forbidden, what will happen to me because I have broken a custom?"

"You will be locked up, but in your case you will be restricted to this house. You shouldn't be fighting you have our future pup in you"

Ok he was really pissing me

"Fine I will stay locked up in this house because your being a dick husband"

Then I turned and ran to my room, I heard a loud growl come from down below and I knew it was Daxton. I jumped into the shower. What the fuck is his problem I can fight and I protect him, our pup is a peanut he needs to stop treating me like I'm some kind of glass ball that's going to shatter at the slightest touch. He is so frustrating. I heard him walk into the bedroom and then kick down the bathroom door.

"Aurora"

I looked at him so furious, I grabbed a towel to cover me

"No you don't get to yell at me like that, you don't get to dictate my life like that, we are equals. Start acting like I'm your equal" I yelled

"You are not and will never be my equal you are the mother of my pup you are my Queen but I am of Royal blood and you will obey my order"

I saw red I was beyond pissed now.

"Get out"

"No"

"I swear to all that the goddess has blessed us with Daxton if you don't get out of my face right now, I will walk away and I will never return, and then you can rule your kingdom alone, and if wolves ask what happened to your UNROYAL UNEQUAL WIFE you can tell them I was an ass. Now get the fuck out NOW"

He stared at me as if challenging me. He could see my anger had reached boiling point and he knew without a doubt I would walk. So he turned and walked out. He slammed the bedroom door and the minute he did that. I broke down and cried on the bathroom floor. When I had the strength to get back up I got dressed and lay in bed crying. When I heard the doorknob turn and I knew that scent, it was my brother.

He came to the bed hopped on and held me while I sobbed

"Are you hungry sis"

"No"

"Do you want to talk about it"

"No"

"Ok, he really is being a dick husband"

I smiled thankful I had my brother

That night Daxton didn't come to bed, I slept alone. The next day I went to the library and researched more and more about our neighbouring area.

Carlos watched me silently as I read and studied book after book. He brought me food and drinks. I never went to bed that night, I never slept I stayed up reading I sat by the window it was a cool night I looked at the bright stars and I cried tears of loneliness and sorrow. How could he say those words to me, it made me feel helpless and unwanted for first time in a long time I felt like I didn't belong.
