Forbidden: Chapter 13

Abbie's POV:

it had been an hour since cameron had told me the news about hayes and then asked me out. he was cocky. i cried a little but he held me in his arms and kissed my forehead repeatedly. i didnt have butterflies in my stomach when he spoke my name like i did when hayes spoke my name. but he found someone better. it hurt, i cant lie. it hurt a whole lot. i said yes when cameron asked me out because Colton was out of the hospital and his mom told me that he was going back to homeschooling and she didn't think it would be appropriate for our relationship to keep going on. i agreed and thanked her for everything.
i was single again. i had hoped a relationship between me and hayes would happen but what cam told me screwed it up. it isn't cam's fault though, he's a nice guy. im actually excited to go on a date with him.

*SKIP TO TUESDAY*

he picked me up at 6:30 on the dot. he was wearing a baby blue polo and he looked amazing. after 2 hours of decision, i finally picked out this little floral dress and my brown flats. pearl earrings and necklace to match. i curled my hair and did winged eyeliner with light pastel eyeshadow and mascara. i was so thankful i didnt ever have acne. my foundation was smooth and i didnt use a ton of concealer like i used to. tonight would be perfect, or that's what i thought.
we went to this really nice restaurant on 6th street, the strip mall. it's like the hang out for all the kids from our town even though it wasn't meant to me. we saw like 7 people we knew. dinner was amazing and he was too. until it started pouring down rain.
then i saw him. hayes was standing at the register looking at us in shock. he ran out and of course i followed. before i knew it we were standing 10 feet away in the pouring rain looking eye to eye.
