Forbidden: Chapter 18.

hayes' POV:

as abbie and i walked, i told her we were going to meet someone. actually, 4 someone's. Matt just moved here to be near Jack and Jack and cam and Nash. carter was moving soon. i went to introduce abbie to matt and olivia and Shawn were to be there too. olivia had a friend that lived a little ways south of here so she drove up to hang out with her. from what I understand, her name is Katherine. she's Olivia's age which is 20 so maybe her and matt will end up as something. i took the time of us walking to ask abbie about when she was gonna tell her parents.

"so, have you told them?" i looked at her and her head hung low like it did when she didn't wanna tell me something.

"i already told you hayes, i ca-"

"don't give me that abbie, you can tell them. they know my parents and besides, Mason knows so you piss him off and he'll tell them anyways. so why not do it now?" i countered. she still looked at the ground. after a few moments i stopped and pulled her chin up with. y finger.

"abbie," i looked her in the eyes. she avoided eye contact. "look me in the eye and say you love me." she then made eye contact with me.

"i love you." she said.

"then you'll tell them." i kissed her softly then intertwined our fingers once again and started walking. she kept her head down until we got to Roseanna's.

"what are we doing here?" she asked quietly.

"well, i wanted you to meet matt and Katherine, Olivia's friend." she smiled.

"okay, well what are we waiting for?" she said dragging me in.

"hey Ab's!" shawn and Liv said in unison. Liv got up and hugged abbie then Shawn gave her a side hug which gave me a twinge of jealousy causing my fists to clench. Shawn had everything abbie could've wanted, but then again, he had olivia.

we sat down and began dinner. matt nor Katherine had come in yet. then a girl walked in with matt. she had a tiny frame with short brown hair and huge brown eyes. she was wearing a flannel and a band tee. beautiful girl, honestly.

"hey matt!" I said. he waved then sputtered out "hey guys, i just met this girl named Katherine and I was wondering if she could eat dinner with us?"

we all bursted out in laughter, even Katherine.

"matt, i AM eating dinner with you guys. Liv is my best friend, who should be giving me a hug and a huge wad of cash since i only accept 'i missed you' gifts in cash." she smirked, she was almost as sarcastic as Olivia. which is a lot.

"actually, I got you this instead." Olivia said pulling out a shark shirt that was identical to hers that she had on.

"aw Liv, you shouldn't have!" she said giving her a hug. then she stepped back and shivered. "bro, your heart has gotten colder. I'm getting chills." her and Liv both laughed and they sat down.

it was a lovely dinner, that is, until me and abbie got in an argument.

"what even? you know I did not." she was referring to me calling her out on making eyes at Shawn. my remark of "hey abbie, remember me? your boyfriend? that's Shawn, Olivia's boyfriend" clearly got under her skin.

"isn't what it looked like." I crossed my arms.

"ha ha, you know what hayes? maybe you should realize that for us to work, you're gonna have to develop a bone in your body that isn't jealous. you know what? im done with this." she got up and went to the bathroom.

"dude, that was completely uncalled for." shawn was angry now. "that girl loves you, and you treat her like that? pathetic, man. pathetic." my stomach dropped and i then realized what a douche bag i was being. as i got up to go chase after her i saw her go out the door and get into a black jeep wrangler who was driven by none other than Jack Gilinsky. i stopped in horror with my hand on the the plate glass doors handle when i saw her reach over and hug him. my heart sank. my fists were clenched. i was ready to battle this guy.

before i knew what i was doing, i was at her door knocking on the window as their faces twisted in horror.
