Forbidden: Chapter 16

Hayes POV:

the next day i skipped school and spent the day listening to the 1975 and feeling stupid. i wondered if she hated me. i wondered if she felt the way i did when we kissed. i wondered if she was okay. but the thing i wondered about most was if we would ever be together. Nash was home with me, but i didn't talk to him. at about 4 he came in my room.
"what's wrong hayes?" he seemed annoyed and exasperated but honestly it was none of his business.
"what do you think is wrong Nash?" i sighed.
"look hayes, don't get depressed over a girl-"
"she's not just a girl Nash."
"she tried to kill you!"
"no, no she didn't. it was one of Colton's friends. cameron didn't talk to her about who threw the brick, Nash. he told her i had found someone else, and then asked her out. when i was at the strip mall on 6th last night getting dinner i saw them. i went in the restaurant they were in just to see if it was them and it was. i ran out and abbie followed me. we got into a huge argument and it started pouring down rain. long story short, i kissed her then she ran out. cameron told me everything and i punched him in the jaw and left. he betrayed me."
Nash sat there for a second looking down at the floor then sat up and ran his fingers through his hair.
"hayes, im sorry man." that's all he said, then he got up and left my room.

about an hour later, i got a text from abbie.

A: hey, can you come over? i need to talk to you.
H: yeah, i guess so. be over in a few.

i was shocked and delighted at the same time, but i rolled with it. i combed my hair and put on a polo with jeans. i sprayed cologne all over myself and ran downstairs.
Nash, Shawn, and Olivia-turns out i had seen her before, on a magazine. international super model from New York, apparently. Shawn got lucky, they're perfect for each other. equally sarcastic.-were all sitting in the den looked at me.
"where are you going bro?" Nash asked me.
"out, be back later." i grabbed the car keys and ran out. i speeded all the way there and when i knocked i was immediately answered by abbie.
"look abbie im so sorry about last night-" she cut me off by pressing her lips against mine. woah.
"don't worry about it hayes, everything is fine now." she said hugging me. i kissed her forehead and rubbed her back.
"finally..." i whispered.
