Forbidden: Chapter 22

Hayes POV:

after my encounter with Nash in the living room, i went to Cameron's. it wasn't exactly planned, i really just wanted to ride around a little. somehow i wound up at Cameron's though. i passed Abbie's house where i stood just 3 and a half weeks ago telling her i was sorry but she decided our time was up. that really sucked for me, i love her. and some part of me still believes she loves me even though im almost positive she's with Gilinsky.
i walked into Cameron's living room at about a quarter til two. he was just sitting there alone watching tv.
"hey man." he said quietly.
"hey," i sat down on the couch and got on my phone.
"matt and katherine are coming over." he got up from the recliner and sat next to me.
"oh, did i intrude?" i locked my phone and slid it back in my pocket.
"nah, i kinda expected you or Nash one to come over." i just nodded.
"ayy!" matt said as he walked in with Katherine. she was gorgeous, i'll admit.
"hey matt." cam said not looking up from the tv.
"hey." i said standing up and doing our bro handshake thing.
"you still down about abs?" he looked me in the eyes and you could tell he was worried.
"i would prefer not to talk about that."
"i take that as a yes." he straightened his lips out and patted my face.
"hey Katherine, how are you?" i said just trying to make conversation.
"im okay, missing Liv and Shawn a ton." she ran her hand through her hair then took a piece of her bangs and twirled it around her finger.
"we all are, don't worry." i flashed a smile.
we sat there just watching American Horror Story on netflix for an hour after that, then something big happened. something nobody expected.
abbie and gilinsky walked through the door.
they just stared at us and we stared back. then cam took abbie into the kitchen.
Jack stood there for only a moment when he sat down. and naturally, Nash would walk in. he was so quite walking in and he just looked at all of us.
"well hey their Nash." Jack smirked. Nash gave him a nasty look for some reason. i thought they were friends?
"why the face?" Jack was taunting obviously.
"get away from my brother."
"and what do you think you're gonna do if i don't?" Jack stood up. Nash's fists were curled up so tight that his knuckles were whiter than winter. Nash started to raise his first and matt started screaming.
"STOP MAN! STOP!"
abbie and cameron walked in.
the next thing i knew, jack's fist was smashing into Nash's jaw.
Nash stumbled back but came back swinging. Jack dodged but Nash got one fatal blow to jack's mouth. Jack fell back and came back at him. matt and cameron were holding Nash back.
"JACK!" abbie screamed. Jack's fist came smashing into matt instead of Nash, i assumed it was an accident. matt jumped on him and started pounding. I pulled matt off and jack stood up.
"EVERYONE JUST STOP!" Katherine yelled. everyone just looked at her. Katherine didn't talk much, and it was just so weird for her to scream like that.
"look im sorry dude-" Jack started to say to matt.
"just get out. get out." Matt interrupted.
"yeah, just go." cameron shook his head.
"im sorry guys." Jack hung is head low. he walked out. everyone turned and looked at me, including abbie.
"wasn't me this time, just be thankful." I stood up, and did something i thought i would never do.
I kissed abbie right there in front of everyone.
"i never got my goodbye kiss." tears filled her eyes and then I walked out to find jack had left.
