Chapter 62:) At the Hospital

I cried myself to sleep last night. No one could hear me luckily. I don't want anyone's pity.

I was out of the house before any of the Weasleys even woke. With the help of the knight-bus I made it to St. Mungos in no time. But I also got sick. Downside to everything.

" excuse me. What room is Cedric Diggory in? " I asked the healer.

" only family is allowed to visit him " he replied. He started to walk away but I stopped him.

" I'm his fiancée " he looked at me unsure. " I'm carrying his child "

" his father is here. Let me go get him real quick to verify your story " I nodded and sat down pulling out the pregnancy bible.

I set the book down and groaned. The cheesiness was unbearable. I looked down to my stomach.

" you better be grateful what I'm going through for you " I grumbled. I knew Cedric would be laughing. Then he would lean over and kiss me.

I miss him so much. His laugh. His smile. His eyes. I miss everything about him. I felt tears spring to my eyes. I let out a small sob and wished that someone could be with with me right now to tell me " it's gonna be okay. I promise everything will work out and you and Cedric will live happily ever after "

Fred's been telling me that lately. He's been really good at comforting me. He'll be on the other side of the castle asleep and he knows I'm crying. So he runs to the hospital wing and stays with me until I stop crying.

" Hayden? " I wiped my tears and looked up.

" Amos " I sighed. We walked towards each other and trapped each other in a hug. " how is he? Has he woken up yet? "

" not yet dear. Come on back " I grabbed my bag and book and followed him to a room. " I think I'm gonna be going to go get something from the cafeteria. Want anything? "

" I'm craving gummy worms " Cedric would say I'm always craving gummy worms.

" I'll see what I can do " I smiled.

" thanks Amos " I mumbled. He smiled and walked out. I turned back to Cedric. He was so pale yet still beautiful. " how is it you don't even have to be conscious and you're still prettier than me? "

I could hear him disagreeing.

" so I've been reading the pregnancy bible. The cheesiness is cringeworthy. You would be like 'you may hate it now Hayden but the end result is gonna be worth it'. I just know you would say that. " I huffed and placed a hand on my stomach. " sorry... morning sickness. "

My stomach gurgled.

" and I'm hungry. I feel like it's fine. So I can't stay long. At eleven I'm going back to Hogwarts to clean up your bedroom. Philip and Daphne got most of your stuff packed but I'm just taking it back to your place.

" Harry's bringing your wand back so I'll get that from him for you if you want. Oh I got you something! " I reached into my bag and pulled out a sucker ring. I knew he would be laughing. I chuckled lightly. " it's your favorite... watermelon. "

I noisily unwrapped it and stuck it on his pinky finger ( it was the only finger it would fit on )
