My heart broke as I heard my baby girl sobbing in her bedroom. I had no clue what to do to help her. Hayden wasn't home, instead she was dropping off Sirius and Hunter are George's house. I was home alone with a sobbing fourteen year old girl who just had her first year break.

I had no clue how to handle it. Hayden never dealt with this during her teen years. Only true heartbreak she had was when I was attacked, but that's completely different. Angelica had thought she was in love. Now that bloke has taken her heart and stomped all over it.

I knocked gently on her door. "Sunshine?"

"Go away dad!" She shouted, and I heard something hit the door. A pillow most likely. I sighed, scratching my hair.

"Angelica, I'm coming in whether you like it or not." I opened the door. She was buried underneath her covers, sobbing madly. I took a deep breath and walked towards her. Once I sat beside her on her bed, she sprung up and held me tightly. I returned her hug, cradling the back of her head like I always did. "Angie, sweetie, it'll all be okay."

"How would you know? You never got your heart broken!" She cried. I let go of her to kick off my shoes before picking her up in my arms and carrying her to mine and Hayden's bed. Once she was underneath the covers, I crawled in and held her against my chest.

"Baby, you may not think I got my heart broken, but I did. When your mum started dating Uncle George, or when I made a stupid mistake and avoided her for six months. Or when I was in a coma and I could still hear everything. My heart broke every time I heard her cry, her voice, your voice, when she told me she was dating Fred, when Grandpa Sirius died, when Aunt Daphne died, and on and on and on. I have experienced heartbreak, but each experienced has shaped me into the person I am today." She cuddled close to my chest.

"I love the person you are today." She looked up, her eyes meeting mine. "Daddy, I still remember you being in a coma. It scares me still." I frowned, kissing her forehead. "You're right. Colin isn't worth crying over."

"Damn straight."

"You're the only man I need in my life." She reached up, kissing my cheek. I smiled brightly, loving the warm feeling growing in my chest. "I love you daddy."

"I love you, sunshine. I suggest that tonight be a daddy and Angie night, yeah? I'll take you to the mall, get you an outfit, then we can go get dinner. Sound fun?" She nodded eagerly. I tightened my grip on her, kissing her forehead. We heard a popping noise and suddenly, Hayden was standing at the foot of the bed. She seemed shocked to see mine and our daughters position, but then she smiled.

"I'm good, mama." Angie reassured her. Hayden rounded the bed and climbed inside, holding Angelica. "Daddy helped me. But while we're on that topic, why did you put dad through such hell?"

"Angelica!" Hayden gasped. My face turned red and I tried to roll away as I suffered my wife's glare. "I did not put him through hell! Cedric?"

"'Course not, babe." I lied. She glared at me, but turned back to Angelica.

"Sunshine, are you okay? Want me to go beat up Colin?" Angelica giggled and shook her head.

"No, I just want you two to hold me right now." We both kissed the top of her head and nodded.

"I'll hold you forever, sunshine."
