***Cedric's POV***

"N. E. W. T. 's. Nastily Exhausting Wizarding Tests. I will help prepare you for these tests at the end of the year." Umbridge said. "So wands away and books out."

I watched Daphne put her wand in my bag and pulled out her books. She raised her hand.

"Professor? It doesn't say anything about using defensive spells." Daphne asked her.

"Well, Miss-"

"Potter. Daphne Potter." A cruel smile appeared on the toads face.

"Miss Potter, yes, of course. There is no need for using spells in my class. Do you expect to be attacked in my class?"

"No, ma'am, but just to prepare ourselves for the outside world." she testified.

"There is nothing out there to harm you. You have been told a certain dark wizard is back. This is a lie." My blood started to boil. I took deep breaths to calm myself and stop myself from saying something to get me expelled.

"Ok, so maybe it's not the truth. I believe it is but I'm not going to talk about that right now. But what if another dark wizard comes. Not Voldemort-" they class gasped, "but if a different one comes. How will we prepare ourselves?" She asked. Her upper lip quivered.

"No other dark wizard will come up in your life time Miss. Potter."

"Ok, but if one does. You thought Voldemort wasn't going to come back but he did." I had never heard Daphne argue with a teacher before.

"He is not back." she said, trying to be polite but I could see the anger in her eyes.

"So, you're saying that I just died and came back to life by chance?" I asked. Daphne squeezed my hand.

"You are not dead, Mr. Diggory"

"No, but I was. Harry is a witness. I was dead because Voldemort killed me and somehow I was brought back!"

"Mr.Diggory, I do not appreciate you spreading these lies." she said, staring me dead in the eyes. "How could someone believe you died when you are breathing right in front of us?" Daphne looked pissed.

"I guess that's true. I mean, I never believed that someone could be so vile and cruel but here you are, breathing right in front of us."

"Daphne just back talked a teacher." someone whispered.

"Miss. Potter, I suggest that you calm down." Umbridge responded, smiling tightly. It was so... I don't even know the word it was like she was trying to get us to trust her by threatening us or something.

"How about no! Voldemort is back! He had his servant nearly kill my best friend! AND YOU'RE SAYING IT WAS AN ACCIDENT. IMAGINE IF CEDRIC WASN'T HERE RIGHT NOW AND HARRY JUST CAME OUT OF THE MAZE WITH HIS BODY! THEN HOW WOULD YOU EXPLAIN IT? VOLDEMORT IS BACK! GET THAT THROUGH YOUR THICK SKULL!" She shouted. She was now standing up.

"Miss. Potter, come here for a moment." she pursed her lips into a thin line. Daphne walked up, growling.

"What? I can't stand being this close to a toad." she snapped. I had muffle my laughter.

"Meet me in my office tonight for detention, Miss. Potter. 5:00 sharp." she said. My eyes widened. Daphne has never gotten detention before.

"Screw this. SCREW YOU!" Daphne shouted. She grabbed her bag and ran out. I grabbed her book and followed.

"Mr. Diggory, sit down or you will have detention." I ignored her and chased after Daphne.

"Daph!" I called after her. She was livid. She took off her robes, through them on the ground, and started jumping on them, screaming loudly.
