" hello Hayden. That time of the month again. "

" your period? " I asked. The Minister of Magic scowled at me.

" yes well. Let's get this over with "

" is that what your wife says? " I asked sincerely. Another scowl.

" Have you been in contact with your father lately? " I shook my head.

" nope. "

" he hasn't written you at all? " I shook my head.

" no and he isn't going to. It's been over a year. If my dad wanted contact with me he would've contacted me " Fudge nodded.

" I guess you're right. " he mumbled. I gazed at the ceiling.

" so that's what being right feels like? Hmm! " I said softly. He started waving his hand.

" you're free to go " I stood up.

" see you next month! " and I walked out of the room. Harry, Daphne and Cedric were waiting for me.

" Hogsmeade? " Harry asked.

" Hogsmeade! " I jumped on Cedric's back and we all walked to the carriages taking us to Hogsmeade.

" so what happened in there this time? " Cedric asked once we climbed in the carriage. I told them everything.

" you said that to the Minister of Magic? " Daphne scolded. I nodded, proud of myself. Cedric and Harry were trying so hard not to laugh. " Hayden you are going to get yourself thrown in Azkaban. I can't believe you- oh "

My face had fallen.

" Hayden I'm sor- "

" just leave me alone " I climbed over the side of the carriage and started walking in the other direction.

" HAYDEN! " Daphne called after me.

" JUST GO AWAY DAPHNE! YOU MIGHT WANT TO STAY AWAY FROM A MURDERERS DAUGHTER LIKE ME! " I shouted back at her. I heard one of them get out of the carriage and chase after me.

" baby come o- " Cedric reached for me but I jerked myself out of his grasp. " babe- "

" just leave me alone Cedric. You should stay away from someone like me. You know, someone that entire future will be in a prison sharing a cell with her father. " he tried wrapping his arms around me but I shook him off. Unsuccessfully.

He picked me up as much as I fought it. He was too strong.

" Cedric- put- me- down! " I screamed as I tried getting out of his arms. He shook his head and held me tighter. I struggled as hard as I could.

" Hayden give up " Cedric grunted. I finally relaxed. I turned to face him and gave him the worst glare I could manage. " Daphne didn't mean it "

" yeah I'm sure she didn't " I replied in a sarcastic tone.

" hey! " he snapped. " you need to calm down! She didn't mean it! We all know how sensitive you are when it comes to Azkaban but she let it slip! Okay so calm down! Now!"

I had never seen him be so forceful. He was always sweet and understanding. He had never snapped at me. I'll admit I've given him plenty of chances but he always stayed calm.

" why're you snapping at me? I didn't do anything wrong-! "

" because Hayden you know it was an accident but you still let it get to you! Can't you just let it slide by? " I stared at him. I swallowed.
