"I bet you anything, you'll see the SnapBack guy again today." Matty said to me as we walked to Rosie's, the small café shop.
I shoved Matty playfully on the shoulder. "Can you please shut up about him, I'm not going to see him again."
Matty rolled his eyes before playfully shoving me back. "Well if he's not here, I will find him, because you two need to talk."
"Matty, I only saw a glimpse of him yesterday and we made eye contact, just because we made eye contact doesn't mean that we're destined for each other." I replied.
"I don't care Haydes, if he's there, you're talking to him, end of." He said opening the wooden door of the café.
"He's not going to be here, and I'm not talking to him." I said following Matty into the the café.
Matty flicked me off, walking towards the counter to order our drinks as I flung my bag down and sitting down on the chair. A few minutes passed and Matty came back with our regular drinks. Mine being a black coffee with no sugar, Matty's was either a hot chocolate or tea, but mostly hot chocolate.
Matty was a little bit obsessed with chocolate, I mean I enjoyed chocolate but not as much as Matty did.
As Matty passed me my coffee, the wooden door to the café opened, which made the chime ring through the silence of the café. I kept my eyes down, having an instinct that it was the boy, as Matty giggled excitedly across from me.
"Haydes, you can't just keep your head down, you're going to have to look up sometime." Matty said, leaning over the table and placing his index finger under my chin, tilting it up.
I swatted his hand away, looking up at him, noticing the unknown boy at the counter ordering. A Nirvana singlet was placed on him, with black skinny jeans that appeared to have holes on the knees part. He was wearing the same red SnapBack, and his converse bag was again slung lazily over his shoulder, but this time he wasn't alone.
A small pixie like girl stood closely next to him. Her tiny hands were clasped around one of his arms as she cuddled closer into him. I wondered how I didn't see this leech attached to him in the first place.
I sighed rolling my eyes as I heard a loud fake laugh burst out of her dark red lips. In my opinion, the leech looked like she had blood all over her mouth instead of lipstick-- okay, it didn't and yes she was ten times prettier than me, with her long blonde wavy luscious hair. She was wearing an oversized red flannel shirt, which probably belonged to the boy, and high waisted denim shorts. I sighed, tearing my eyes away from them both as their hands intertwined.
Matty, who was on his stupid iPhone didn't even notice the unknown boy and his leech walking into the café. I cleared my throat a couple of times to try and get his attention, but of course he didn't notice.
Sighing, for what have been the hundredth time that day, I leaned over the table, flicking him on the cheek, which made his head snap up and his iPhone to fall on the rounded table quite loudly.
"Haydes, what the fuck?" He half shouted, glaring at me before turning his attention back to his iPhone which luckily wasn't broken. I leaned over, grabbing his stupid iPhone, shoving it into my shorts front pocket.
"You're not getting it back until we actually have a proper conversation." I said, glaring at him, who was glaring back at me.
"Fine." He hissed back, grabbing his hot chocolate.
Matty turned around, gazing around the small café. The unknown boy and his leech were sitting two tables down from us. I bit the inside of my cheek as I made eye contact with the leech.
"Hey," Matty suddenly said which made me take my gaze off the leech and back to Matty. "Isn't that the SnapBack guy, oh Haydes, you have to talk to him! Wait, who the fuck is that blondie?" He asked, glaring at the leech.
I bit my tongue, holding back my laugh.
"Matty, stop staring please. Yes, it's the SnapBack boy, I think he's taken Matty." I replied taking a sip from my coffee.
"He could not be, I mean-"
"They were holding hands Matty," I interrupted. "I don't think they're just friends."
"Well, he's not that attractive anyway," Matty said glaring at them both. "Wanna come back to mine?" He asked, finishing his hot chocolate.
I nodded, grabbing my bag and slinging it over my shoulder, as I did, I could feel the boys eyes staring at me as Matty walked over to me.
Matty grabbed my hand, leading me out the café, as I looked back at him and his leech, he was kissing her palm, but his eyes were on me.
