I love Amelia.
Those three simple words repeated themselves in my mind as I clumsily fumbled through my bag looking for my keys.
Once my hands clutched around what felt like my keys, I pulled them out of my bag swiftly, before unlocking my front door and stepping into the warm cosiness of my flat.
I closed the front door behind me with my foot before turning around and locking it before making my way into the kitchen. Once I stepped into my small, spacious kitchen, I reached over to the kettle flicking the switch down.
Luke quickly left after his outburst telling me that he was sorry but that he had to leave, he quickly said goodbye before turning around and briskly walking away, leaving me standing there confused.
I didn't know why when Luke told me that he loved Amelia that my chest kind of stung. I didn't know Luke long enough to end up developing feelings for him, I didn't think that I did have feelings for him but once he told me that he loved Amelia, it hit me like a tonne of bricks.
I only knew Luke for a couple of hours, it was ridiculous and I convinced myself that what I was feeling for Luke was only a small crush, one of those crushes you get because you're so interested in the person but slowly fade away.
My phone beeping brought me out of the thoughts of Luke and Amelia, snapping me back into reality. Sighing, I reached into my bag which was still placed clumsily over my shoulder.
From; Luke.
I'm really sorry for being rude and leaving quickly, but can we meet up tomorrow?
From; Hayden. :-)
Sure, I'll meet you at Rosie's at one?
From; Luke.
See you then. :-)
I placed my bag on my small wooden kitchen table, before walking over to where my kettle was placed, watching it boil. Once it was boiled, I grabbed my favourite cup, adding a teaspoon of coffee, adding the hot water in it before walking over to the fridge, grabbing the milk and adding the remaining milk into my coffee.
I decided to go into the living room and watch a movie to distract myself instead of sitting in my kitchen overthinking the situation as I knew that it wasn't going to make the situation any better.

A loud knocking noise rang through the silence of my flat, erupting me from my peaceful sleep, making me sit up looking around confused.
I noticed that I was still situated in my living room realising that I had fallen asleep on the couch, the tv was still on and the opening credits of Lilo and Stitch were still visible on my small flat screen tv.
The knocking began again which made me groan, before standing up and stretching slightly, walking towards the front door to see who the annoying person was. As I turned the lock on the door, I pulled on it to reveal the culprit who ruined my peaceful sleep.
Matty barged in, walking straight to my kitchen as I followed him yawning, running my fingers through my hair to straighten out my bed hair since I knew that it was probably sticking up in a million directions.
I followed Matty into my kitchen, where Matty sat on chair, a frustrated look on his face.
"Matty, are you okay?" I questioned, stepping towards a spare chair sitting on it.
"I saw Josh with his new girlfriend." Matty hissed, running his hands through his hair.
"What? When?" I asked.
"I had to go grocery shopping for my mum today, I was minding my own business whenI felt myself bump into someone. When I looked up I noticed a girl in front of me, I was about to apologise but then Josh came into view."
"Did you say anything?" I questioned.
"No, I really wanted to Haydes, but it was like the words I wanted to say were stuck in my throat, so instead I just sent the both of them the most horrible glare before walking off." He said, smiling, obviously happy for giving them glares.
"I really think that next time you bump into him you should hit him over the head with a hammer or something." I suggested as I walked over to where my kettle was situated clicking the switch on.
"I'm not a violent person Haydes, but I hope karma comes around and hits him in the face."
"It will, don't worry, and if it doesn't I'll have a word with him." I said, as the switch clicked indicating that the kettle was boiled.
"Want some tea?"
Matty stood up from his seat shaking his head. "I can't, I have to mind Leah, but I'll pop back around later okay?" He replied, coming over to me and hugging me.
"Okay, text me when you're coming over." I said, returning the hug.
After Matty left it dawned on me that I didn't tell him about what Luke said to me last night, which made me remember that I was supposed to be meeting up with him today. I glanced around my kitchen to see if I could spot my phone, but of course it was no where to be seen.
Sighing, I walked around my house, searching everywhere for my phone, when I finally found it situated between a cushion on my couch, as I picked it up and unlocked it I realised that it was nearly half twelve which only gave me half an hour to get ready.
I scrambled up the stairs to my room, rooting through my wardrobe for clean clothes to wear. I settled on my blue flannel and a pair of black skinny jeans, before grabbing a brush, taming my hair out.
I grabbed my coat, placing it on me before grabbing my bag and dumping my keys and phone into it before running clumsily down the stairs, straight out of my apartment and to Rosie's.

As Rosie's came into view, I quickened up my pace realising that I was a few minutes late. I grabbed the steel handle of the wooden door before pulling it open, and walking into the small cosy café.
I glanced around the bare empty tables before I saw him. He was sitting there with his grey beanie hat placed loosely on the top of his had, blonde tufts of hair were falling loose from the beanie.
He had a smile on his face, laughing with his head thrown back, and his eyes closed as his musical laugh filled the silence of the café.
As I drifted my attention away from his beautiful face, I came to the realisation that Luke wasn't in the café alone.
