"I still don't understand how you don't like sugar in your coffee." Luke said, disgust laced in his tone.

I shrugged, but secretly glad that he remembered because it made me feel sort of special.

"I'm sorry, but sugar in coffee is the most disgusting thing I have ever tasted in my whole entire life- okay maybe that's a bit over exaggerated but it's still disgusting!" I defended.

"It's too plain without sugar in it though, you need sugar in it to make it sweeter. You're just weird, admit it Hayden." He said playfully, nudging his shoulder with mine.

I rolled my eyes, nudging him back. "I'm weird and I'm proud of it." I replied sticking my tongue out at him.

Ever since walking home with Luke I got to learn a few things about him. For example; he had two older brothers and they lived back in Sydney in Australia. His mum was a maths teacher and he told me that he liked maths, which I mocked him on because come on who even likes maths?

"So, favourite colour?" He asked, restarting the twenty questions that we had began to play.

"Uh, I think red." I replied.

"Red?"

"Yeah, I used to always wear really nice red dresses when I was younger, plus the red power ranger was my favourite as a child." I replied whilst pulling my hoodie closer around my body, regretting not bringing my coat out.

"The power rangers was a great show, shame it's not on anymore, although I thought your favourite would be the pink one." He said, smirking slightly at me.

I groaned in frustration. "Just because I'm a girl, that doesn't mean that jut because I see a pink ranger I'm going to instantly love it." I shot back.

"The black ranger was the best though." He replied, speeding up a little as the road that we had to cross was empty. We both crossed the road that led to the pebbled pathway to my apartment.

"I'm guessing your favourite colour is black too?" I asked, noticing that he was wearing all black, I mean I couldn't say anything because I was too.

"You guessed right, I've lived in black since a child. My mother would try dress me up in disgustingly bright colours, but I would always go back upstairs and change out of them." He replied, fixing his beanie hat, and biting down on his lip ring.

I noticed Luke doing this action a lot on the way home, which led to me wanting to bite down on it too, which made my cheeks burn bright crimson because Luke was watching me when I was thinking of biting down on his lip. After he asked me if I was okay because I had become a bit red all of a sudden, I lied and told him that it was because of the cold, praying that he believed my terrible excuse of a lie.

"You seemed like a rebellious child." I commented, smiling at him.

Luke chucked lightly smiling, which showed off his perfectly straightened white teeth, nodding his head agreeing with me. "Thinking back on it now, I feel mean because of how rebellious I was, but that's another story for another day."

As we approached closer to where my apartment was, I was so happy, knowing that in a few minutes I was going to be in the comforting heat of my own flat, and I was going to be able to change into my pyjamas, and watch movies and thinking about doing all of that made me walk faster, not even noticing that Luke has stopped.

I suddenly realised that he wasn't beside me and turned around to where he was standing. "Are you okay?" I questioned, confused on why he stopped suddenly.

Luke lifted his hand up, tugging his beanie hat off and ruffling his hand through his flattened blonde hair. "Do you think Ashton and Amelia are a cute couple?" Luke asked suddenly.

I stared at him, confused on why he suddenly shot out this question. "Um, yeah I do. I mean, the way they look at each other is cute, you can see that they love each other." I lied.

Ashton looked at Amelia like she was a princess, but Amelia didn't look at Ashton with the same amount of passion and love that Ash looked at her with. I noticed that tonight, which made me feel bad about Ash because I knew how much he loved her.

"Oh." Luke replied, dropping his head down, as he shuffled on his feet.

"Are you okay with Ash and Amelia being a couple?" I asked, deciding to get what he had on his chest out, as I realised that Luke wasn't happy about Ash and Amelia being together.

"Honestly, no."

"Why?" I asked quietly, but I knew myself that I knew the answer.

"Because," he said taking a deep breath. "Because I love Amelia."
