"Haydes, you can't keep ignoring him. If you keep ignoring him then this whole plan thing isn't going to work." Michael said to me as I sat on my kitchen floor eating a bowl of cereal feeling sorry for myself.

It had been two weeks since the café incident and in those two weeks, I ignored every call and message that I had received from Luke.

"Mikey," I sighed, rubbing my temple. "You don't understand, it's better this way, distancing myself from him and not seeing him is my making my feelings for him fade."

Michael groaned before settling himself on the floor beside me. "That's great Hayden, but you're not going to ignore Luke forever and when you decide to stop ignoring him, your feelings for him are going to hit you twice as hard."

"Who says I'm going to stop ignoring him." I mumbled, finishing the rest of my cereal.

Truth was, I missed Luke a lot. I really did, I missed his stupid jokes and his stupid laugh and the way he bit down on his lip ring. But, I needed to distance myself from him, him and Amelia are happy together, I didn't want to be the one that had to ruin it because of my feelings for him.

Mikey chucked beside me, slinging an arm around my shoulders and pulling me into his side. "I'm not letting you ignore Luke any longer, I'm sorry but this childish behaviour has to stop."

I groaned in frustration burying my head into his shoulder. "No, Mikey."

"Yes Haydes, I'm not taking no for an answer." He replied, running his fingers through my tangled hair. "Now get up, have a shower and we're going to go to Rosie's okay?"

I nodded my head slowly. "Luke better not be there." I said, glaring at Mikey.

"He won't, I promise," He replied, standing up and helping me up. "Now go."

After I took my shower and got dressed, I made my way back down to the kitchen where Mikey was talking on the phone.

"I have to go, I'll talk to you later." He said quickly into the phone as he saw me come down the stairs.

"Who was that?" I questioned grabbing my coat and bag.

"No one, just an old friend, you ready?" Mikey asked, grabbing his jacket and pushing me out of my apartment.

I nodded my head before being pushed out of my apartment and out into the cold air. I wrapped my jacket around me tighter as me and Mikey walked the small distance to Roise's. Once the café came into sight, I sped up knowing that the café would be more warmer than what it was outside.

I pulled on the silver handle, entering the café with Mikey close behind. As I glanced around the café, I saw Luke which made me turn around to leave but only to collide with Mikey's body.

"You promised me he wasn't going to be here." I whispered at him trying to get past him.

"I'm sorry Hayden, but it was the only way that I got you out of your apartment," He replied, turning me around. "You can do this Hayden, come on." He whispered into my ear before placing his hand on my back and pushing me slightly.

I sighed before walking over to the table where Luke was situated keeping my head down. As I got to the table, I pulled out the chair opposite form Luke, sighing before sitting down.

I looked around expecting to see Michael beside me, but instead he was situated at another table with Matty and Calum.

It suddenly hit me, this was all a big set up, and of course I fell for it.

"Hi," Luke said quietly, placing his hands on the table.

"Hi," I replied looking up into the deep blue eyes that I had missed so much. "I'm sorry about ignoring you, I just had to distance myself away from people for a while." I lied, knowing that I couldn't tell him the real reason why I was ignoring him in the first place.

"It's okay, Mikey explained, I'm not angry at you Haydes, I've just missed you a lot." He replied, his eyes never leaving mine.

I could feel tears brim in the back of my eyes, as I gulped down a cry. "I'm sorry, I missed you too."

Luke suddenly stood up, walking over to where I was sitting, before grabbing my hand and pulling me in for a hug. I wrapped my arms around his neck pulling him closer to me. God, I was such a bitch for ignoring him. I snuggled into his chest, promising myself that from now on I wasn't going to ignore Luke again.

He placed his hand on my back, rubbing small circles on it, making me relax instantly. "It's okay, we're best friends right? You know you can come and tell me anything." He replies as he places another hand through my hair.

I flinched at the word best friend but shrug it off. I knew that what me and Luke can ever be is best friends, nothing more. "I know, thank you," I pull out of his embrace as the café door opened, the chime signalling that someone had enter the café.

I looked up at Luke to see his blue eyes on someone else, without turning around I knew who it was as I side stepped away from him. Amelia wrapped her arms around his neck pulling him closer to her. I rolled my eyes, deciding instead of standing there in an awkward position looking at the both of them to go over to Matty.

I walked over to where Mikey, Cal and Matty were sitting, pulling out the spare chair beside Matty sitting down.

"You two good now?" Calum asked first.

I nodded my head, giving them all a thumbs up.

Calum sighed in relief, a smile on his face. "Finally, I don't have to listen to Luke pine about anymore."

"Sorry, it's all done and over with now, you don't have to listen to him complain anymore." I replied, as my eyes traveled over to where Luke and Amelia were, except they weren't standing there anymore.

"Listen to who complain anymore?" I heard a familiar voice say behind me, making me jump slightly.

I looked at Calum placing my index finger on my lips. "We don't have Matty to complain about his new game anymore again because he completed it," I lied, looking at Matty who was looking at me with a smirk placed on his face.

"Oh, what game?" Luke questioned as he pulled over two spare chairs, sitting on the one beside me as Amelia huffed before sitting on the one closest to Cal.

I looked at Matty, waiting for him to reply. "What was the game again Haydes?" He asked.

"Uh," I stammered. "You know the game you completed that you were telling us all about."

Matty shook his head, a confused expression placed on his face. "No, I don't remember telling you that." He replied, a smirk playing on his lips as he noticed my cheeks becoming red.

Luckily I was saved by my phone ringing which made me excuse myself from the table before giving Matty a glare and walking away from the table, retrieving my phone from my front pocket.

"Hello," I said into the phone, opening the wooden door and walking outside into the cold air.

"Hayden!" A familiar voice I'd known to well came through the speaker of the phone.

"Hey mum," I replied a small smile placed on my lips. I had missed my parents. Since they moved from England a year again, it was difficult knowing that I couldn't just walk down the road to visit them anymore.

After a few minutes of talking to my parents and reassuring them that I was okay, I hung up, turning around to head back into the café, where I noticed Luke standing at the door watching me.

"Are you okay?" I questioned, noticing that Amelia wasn't with him.

He nodded his head. "Do you want to come camping with us?"

"Who's 'us'? I questioned.

"Me, Amelia, Matty, Mikey, Cal and Ashton."

"Ashton's coming?"

"Yeah, well he's bringing his new girlfriend too, so he'll be fine."

I thought about it for a few minutes wondering if I should go or not. I mean, it would get me out for a while and I would be surrounded by people I like- except Amelia of course.

I nodded my head, smiling at Luke. "Sure, why not?"
