"Hayden, are you even listening to me?" I heard Matty say, which took me out of the trance of watching the mysterious new boy.
I glanced at Matty, before glancing back at the boy, who was now ordering. I tore my eyes from the boy once again, to see Matty smirking at me.
"What?" I questioned, already knowing that he saw me staring at the boy. I grabbed my coffee sipping it slowly, trying to hide the blush that I could feel appear on my cheeks.
"I'm sorry but is having eye sex with a random stranger more important than your best friend?"
"I was not having eye sex with him," I protested. "He's just extremely attractive, and he is not more important than you okay?" I replied, setting my coffee mug back down on the table.
"You were the one who ignored me first, because you were too busy replying to Josh." I pointed out, crossing my arms.
Matty snorted, before rolling his eyes. "Sorry, it won't happen again I promise. So, where is this attractive boy?" He questioned, turning his body around in his chair, searching the cafe.
"He's the one ordering." I whispered to Matty, as my eyes adverted back over to the guy once again. I kept my focus on him, taking in as much of his appearance that I could before he left.
He was wearing a red SnapBack, with it turned so the strap was at the front, which pushed back what seemed to be blonde hair. He had a converse bag slung lazily over one shoulder and he was also holding a skateboard in one hand. He was tall, in fact he was like a miniature giraffe because of his height. As my eyes traveled back up to his face, I noticed that once again his eyes were watching me. As I gazed back at him, my eyes travelled down to his lips, where a black lip ring sat deliciously.
I swallowed nervously before looking back at Matty, who happened to be looking at the unknown boy too.
"Matty, stop." I hissed, which made him turn back around. He blew out a deep breath, dramatically fanning himself at the same time.
"Fuck, Hayden, I ship you two so hard already."
I rolled my eyes at the immaturity of my best friend, but couldn't help but let out a small giggle as he winked at me.
"I'm telling you, I smell romance as quickly as I smell chicken, and I can smell that something will happen between the two of you, I can sense it," Matty said standing up from his chair. "And I have to go home and babysit my demon of a little sister so I'll talk to you later, love you Haydes." I stood up, wrapping my arms around his neck, pulling him into a tight hug, which he returned.
"Love you too Matty." I said releasing him and waving goodbye to him as he left the small cafe.
As I looked around the small cafe, I realised that it wasn't as busy as it was.
My eyes adverted to the coffee bar to see if the unknown boy was there but there was no sign. I sighed, finishing the rest of my coffee before grabbing my bag, making my way out of the cafe and back to the loneliness of my flat.
