[Sam Smith// I'm Not The Only One]
"Isn't it weird that coffee made us talk?" Luke suddenly said as I placed a cup of coffee in front of him, pulling out a chair so I was sitting directly across from him.
"What do you mean?" I questioned.
"I mean, the first time I talked to you was when I asked you if you wanted a cup of coffee. Then you rejected me and left."
I laughed, remembering it clearly. It seemed so long ago since I first got to know Luke. "I didn't mean to, Matty was upset, I wasn't going to leave my best friend alone for a total stranger."
Luke smiled at me before picking up his cup of coffee, taking a sip of it. I copied him, keeping my eyes down. Luke cleared his throat, making me look back up at the light blue eyes that had my heart.
I placed my coffee back down on the table. "Why are you here Luke? I mean, shouldn't you be with Amelia?"
At the mention of Amelia, Luke groaned. "I don't care about Amelia, Hayden."
"What do you mean you don't care about Amelia?"
Luke shrugged. "I don't care for her anymore because I don't love her."
I sighed, rolling my eyes at him. "You can't just not love her all of a sudden." I said picking up my coffee to take a sip.
"I never loved her."
The sip of coffee that I had in my mouth went down the wrong way as Luke said the words that I never thought he would ever say. I coughed a bit, before looking at Luke.
"What do you mean you never loved her?" I said quietly.
"Because I love someone else," Luke said slowly, his eyes stuck on mine. "I only said that I loved her, because I wanted to make another girl jealous. Me and Amelia's relationship was fake."
"Who is the girl?"
"I can't tell you that yet. It's too soon to tell, but when the time is right, I'll tell you then."
I nodded my head. "Why didn't you just tell the girl how you felt? Instead of dragging Amelia into it?"
"Because, I wanted to see if it affected her, can we please stop talking about it now?"
I nodded my head. I was totally confused on what was happening right now.
"Luke, what did you want to talk to me about?" I asked, deciding to change the subject as I picked up my cup of coffee drinking the rest of it.
"Oh, yeah. I think Calum and Matty are together."
"You came here to tell me that Calum and Matty are together?" I questioned raising an eyebrow at him.
Luke nodded his head, slipping his hand into his pocket as he pulled out his phone. "I have to go, but I'll text you later okay?" Luke suddenly announced standing up from the chair he was sitting on.
I stood up too as Luke walked closer to me, wrapping his arm around my waist. I leaned into his chest, returning the hug
This was all me and Luke were going to be, friends.
"I'll see you later." Luke said smiling at me before exiting my flat, leaving me alone in the kitchen confused.

"So, he told you that he loved someone else and never loved Amelia because he was making this girl jealous? And then just left?" Michael questioned, sitting beside me on my couch eating Vanilla ice cream.
I nodded my head, dunking another spoon of ice cream into my mouth. "I don't know Mikey, I'm so confused."
"Don't you think it's ironic how you did the exact same thing?"
"What do you mean? I questioned, removing the spoon from my mouth.
"You and me went out to try and make Luke jealous and now Luke is doing it to this 'mystery girl.' I don't get it."
I shook my head and sighed, setting my bowl of ice cream down on the floor, placing my head in my hands. Michael patted my back, trying to comfort me.
"Don't worry Hayden, things will become clearer soon, okay?"
I nodded my head. "Thank you for being here Michael." I replied smiling at him.
It had been two days since Luke announced that he loved someone else. And in those two days, Luke ignored my messages and calls.
I picked up my phone that was laying beside me on the couch, unlocking it to see if Luke had replied to any messages, but of course as I unlocked it, I was faced with an empty screen.
"Mikey, why is he ignoring me?" I questioned turning around to face Michael.
Michael shrugged. "We're guys Hayden, we can be right tools sometimes."
I nodded my head in agreement. "Guys suck." I replied, grabbing my bowl of ice cream.
"Right," Michael said standing up. "We're going to go out and you're going to get yourself a job."
I groaned. "Why do I have to get a job?"
"Because you're eighteen Hayden, that's why, plus jobs are great distractions, and you'll feel more independent."
I sighed. "Okay, fine lets go job hunting."
