As I walked to Matty's, I couldn't help but overthink on how rude I must have appeared to Luke. I mean I told him I would have coffee with him and then as soon as he comes back with them I suddenly have to go. But I couldn't stay, Luke may have been really attractive but Matty was more important than some attractive guy in a café.
As I arrived at Matty's flat, I pressed my finger on the doorbell keeping it there until he answered. After a few minutes of waiting, I heard shuffling and Matty unlocking the door. His brown unruly curly hair was held back by a black bandana. His eyes were red and puffy and his face seemed a bit swollen from all the crying that he must have done.
As soon as he saw it was me, he grabbed me and pulled me into him as he began to sob into my shoulder. I kicked the flat door shut behind me using my foot, before running my hand through Matty's hair trying my best to soothe him. I wasn't good when it came to things like this, or giving advice about relationships because of my lack of being in them, but I did try my best to advise them.
I untangled myself out of Matty's arms, grabbing his hand and leading him into the kitchen. Once we entered the kitchen, Matty took a seat on the chair, placing his head in his hands as he continued crying. My heart went out to him. Matty was the best person out there but when it came to relationships he put himself too much out there in them and always seemed to get hurt.
But Josh surprised me, since him and Matty had been dating for two years I didn't think that he would turn around and do this to Matty, but at the end of the day you really don't know what could come around and slap you in the face.
"Matty, talk to me please." I pleaded with him unable to stick the silence between us anymore.
"He cheated on me Haydes," he said quietly. "What more am I supposed to say?"
"How do you know though Matty?" I questioned, pushing my chair closer to Matty.
"Before I was about to leave to go to meet you in the café, someone knocked on my door. When I answered it, it was Josh. I wasn't expecting to see him until this evening, so I was confused when I saw him standing there." Matty said slowly, his voice cracking slightly.
I placed my hand over his, squeezing it gently nodding at him to go on.
"He looked upset when he came in, he didn't hug me or kiss me, he just walked straight in. Josh always hugs or kisses me when he sees me, so it was really strange when he didn't do neither of them. As soon as I got into the kitchen, he turned around and straight up told me that he had cheated on me."
I shook my head, still trying to believe all of it, I never though that Josh would be like that, I thought he loved Matty, but if he loved Matty then he wouldn't of cheated on him.
Matty took a deep breath before talking again. "But, that isn't the best part to it Hayde's, he didn't cheat on me with another boy, oh no, he cheated on me with a girl," Matty sobbed out. "He said that he got really drunk one night and brought her home, I guess she must have fucked him good enough to make him straight for five months." Matty spat out, wiping his eyes.
"What do you mean make him straight for five months?" I questioned slightly confused.
"Josh has been dating this girl for five months now Hayde's, he's been cheating on me with her for five whole months."
I quickly got off my seat and sat on Matty's knee, pulling him closer to me. "I'm so going to kill him when I see him." I said to him rubbing circles on his back.
"It's fine Hayden, I'll be fine. Can we just go and watch a movie now please?" Matty asked.
This was Matty, he didn't like to talk about things so instead he liked to distract himself with movies.
I nodded getting off him and following him into the sitting room to watch a movie with him.

An hour into Tangled, Matty was fast asleep beside me. I felt my eyes dropping too, but at the same time I desperately needed to use the bathroom. Sighing I stood up and made my way to the bathroom.
After washing my hands, I left the bathroom, entering the kitchen where my bag was placed. I unzipped it and began rooting for my phone. I didn't know why I was checking my phone but I had a feeling that something was on it.
As I found my phone, I quickly unlocked it to reveal a message from an unknown number, but the text made me know who it was from, as I quickly saved the name into my contacts.
