It had been ten minutes since Luke asked me if I wanted a cup of coffee and in those ten minutes we wasted by arguing over who was going to pay for it.
I didn't even know Luke that well but here we were arguing over who was to going to pay like two teenage girls. Okay, I'm a girl but still Luke was acting like one.
"Honestly, I don't mind paying for it." I said to Luke opening my purse and taking out some money that I was sure would cover the cost of both of the drinks.
"I'm the guy, I should be the one paying." He said getting off the chair to pick up his converse bag.
"Luke, we aren't on a date." I blurted out biting my tongue to stop myself from saying anything more embarrassing.
Why the hell did I just say that?
"Look, Hayden," he paused looking at me. "That's your name isn't it?" I nodded my head, waiting for him to continue.
"Just let me buy this one coffee, it's only a cup of coffee. Plus I asked you if you wanted one so therefore I'm buying it, since I offered." He said, standing up.
I sighed, giving in. "Okay fine, thank you." I replied smiling at him.
Luke returned the smile before walking over to the counter to order. As I sat there, I felt my phone beep through my bag. I picked my bag up, rooting through the contents to find my phone. Once I found it I unlocked it to see what it was.

As I read the message, Luke came back with two coffees.
From; Hadyes.
Shit, I'll be there in five.
As Luke sat back down, I stood up thinking of the right words to say to him so it didn't come across as rude or it didn't look like I was ditching Luke because I wouldn't. I would have loved to stay and talked to Luke, but I couldn't. Matty was my best friend he needed me, and I had to be there for him.
"Hayden are you okay?" Luke asked from where he was sitting across the table.
I nodded slowly before standing up. "Yeah, look Luke I'm really sorry to have to do this, but I have to go. My best friend is upset and I really have to be there." I said, placing my phone back into my bag.
Luke looked disappointed which made me feel so horrible for leaving him. "It's fine Hayden, your friend needs you I understand."
"I'm really sorry." I said before leaving the table and exiting the café to go to Matty's.

So basically Hayden and Luke are trying to get to know each other but then Josh is like oh I'm just gonna go and cheat on Matty and boom.
Gosh Josh I hate you so much right now man
I know I said I would update this tonight, but I'll have chapter eight up tonight instead:-)
