"So you decide to tell me now that you two are a couple?" Matty asked as I wiped down the spills on the counter.

It had been a week since mine and Luke's first date, and I was currently still working in Roise's.

"Well, it's not my fault you've been attached to Calum that I've barely gotten to seen you, what's going on between you two anyways?" I asked, raising my eyebrow and wiggling it.

A slight red tint appeared on Matty's face as he placed his hands over his cheek, trying to hide it but failing miserably. "Nothing, we've just been hanging out a lot, I guess." Matty said shrugging.

I flicked the wet cloth at him, making him squeal. "Matthew tell me right now."

Matty rolled his eyes before looking around the bare café. "Okay, so I might, maybe have a teeny crush on him-"

"I knew you liked him!" I squealed interrupting him.

"Hayden, shut up!" He whispered. "How did you know?"

"When we went camping, you two looked a bit cosy."

"Well, I don't even know if he likes me back, I mean I don't even know if he's you know." Matty said, pulling down his sleeves.

"Well you never know until you try and talk to him about it."

"How am I supposed to do that? I mean for all I know he might just consider me a best friend." Matty sighed, placing his head in his hands.

"Invite him over here, I can keep an eye on you two, and then I can see if he likes your or not." I said.

Matty said, sighing before grabbing his phone and messaging Calum. "If this goes wrong, I'm blaming you."

It had been a hour since Calum had arrived at the café and I had been keeping a close on eye on the both of them the whole time.

"Hayden, what the hell are you staring at?" Someone said, startling me, and making me remove my gaze from Matty and Calum to see Luke, leaving against the counter.

I had been so focused on watching Matty and Cal that I didn't even notice Luke leaning against the counter.

"Shh," I whispered, adverting my gaze back to Matty and Cal who were now laughing. "I have to keep an eye on these two."

Luke looked over at Calum and Matty and then back to me, raising an eyebrow. "Um, Haydes, you do know that Calum isn't gay."

My head snapped back to Luke, hoping that I didn't just hear what he said. "What?"

"He's not gay, he has a girlfriend," Luke said, his eyes adverting back to Matty and Cal.

"Shit, give me a minute." I said to Luke as I walked to the end of the counter and over to where Matty and Cal were sitting.

Matty glared at me as he saw me, clearly not pleased that I was interrupting them.

"Sorry to interrupt, but Matty I need to talk to you."

Matty rolled his eyes. "Can't it wait 'til later?"

I shook my head which made Matty sigh and send Cal an apologetic smile before getting up and following me over to a corner in the café away from Calum.

"Was that so necessary? I was having such a great conversation with him, and he was telling me how cool he thought I was and that he liked me and then you had to come over and ruin it all-"

"Matty, Calum's not gay!" I interrupted him which made him shut up quickly.

Matty stared at me, a confused expression placed on his face. "You're not funny Hayden, if you don't like Calum then just tell me you don't instead of making up these stupid rumours to stop me from liking him!"

"Matty, I'm not lying to you. Luke just told me, Calum has a girlfriend."

Matty laughed harshly rolling his eyes. "Like I'm going to believe you two, stop making up pointless rumours, in fact don't talk to me, leave me and Calum be." Matty snapped before walking back over to Calum, grabbing him by the arm and dragging him out of the café.

I stared at the both of them, feeling tears well up in my eyes. This wasn't Matty. Matty and I barely had fights, we were super close. Matty knew how much I hated fights, so we made a pact. If we pissed each other off we would tell each other, instead of bitching or holding a grudge.

I wiped the tears that were threatening to fall from my eyes angrily with the back of my hands before walking back over to the counter, where I noticed that I had people to serve.

As I served the customers, I looked around for Luke, noticing that he was no where to be seen. I shrugged it off thinking that he was in the bathroom.

After I served the last customer, I looked around the café once more to see Luke, Amelia and Michael sitting at a table.

I walked over to where they were all sitting, placing my self down on the chair beside Luke as he took my small hand in his, rubbing his thumb lightly over my knuckles.

"Hayden! There's a party tonight, you should come." Michael said smiling widely at me.

I looked at Luke. "Are you going?"

Luke nodded his head. "I'll go with you, but if you don't want to then we can stay at home."

I shook my head. A night out sounded good, it had been a while since I was last out.

"No it's okay I'll go."
