Chapter 2
A Night to Remeber
Angelica was flopped onto a soft bed. Her captor turned and left her in his room. A clink from the lock told her she was going nowhere. She ran to a door with windows and discovered he had a balcony on his ship. She opened the doors and stepped out onto the wooden terrace. Angelica watched as the pirate crew threw all the cannon balls off her former ship. She wanted to jump off the balcony, but she was a horrible swimmer, and she was positive that the captain would return for her. Sighing she watched as the looters went back to their ship. The grappling hooks where removed from their railing and the two ships drifted apart. Her father went to the railing yelling something she could not hear at the pirate captain. The captain laughed while her father sobbed. She turned and went back in and collapsed on the bed crying. She knew that would be the last time she ever saw her father or normal society ever again. Angelica cried until she soon fell asleep.
A strong arm picked her up and moved her to the opposite side of the bed. She roused some and saw that the stars had appeared outside the window. A dim candle lit a small table as a man unchanged. She turned away from him not wanting to think about was about to happen. She had heard the stories of pirates ravaging women. How they rapped mercilessly. She knew he would be the same. Angelica braced herself as he walked towards her in strange poufy silk black pants. He took his shirt off and threw it in the corner. He looked back at the candle and walked back too it blowing it out. The darkness tore at her nerves. “What was he going to do to her?” she thought as she watched his dark figure stride towards the bed. He laid down and pulled the covers over the two of them. He turned her body over to the side not facing him. Angelica shook terrified at the thought of what he was about to do to her neared. His hands went gently around her waist a pulled her too him. Their bodies were soon pressed up against one another. His arms wrapped around her, and his legs entangled themselves with hers. He sighed contently and yawned. “That’s it…” she thought with relief.
His arms were tightly wrapped around her as he slept soundly. Angelica, however, could not sleep . His rhythmic breaths, went with his moving chest. She couldn’t sleep next to a man she was unmarried too. It was not Christian. She was a stout Catholic and this was against what she believed in. She wondered how her father was doing. Was he worried about her, was he planning a rescue? How would he tell her grandmother? That last question dangled in front of her. She had never had a mother, because her’s died after she birthed her. Her father’s mother raised her and lived in their villa with them. She was sweet, and stern. The thought of her finding this out made her grieve. For she knew that once her grandmother found out it would kill her. His hands re-adjusted, and put one of his arms underneath her head, while the other held her firmly against her body.
“Really….” She hissed. Her neck got soar automatically as this ruffian made himself comtorble. She tried to do the same but his grasp would not release her waist. Suddenly, she felt his grasp get tighter, as his whole body twitched.
“No…..No!!” he murmured softly and urgently. She wriggled around as he kept a tight hold on her. Their faces where centimeters away from one another but she could see his whole face covered in sweat. Eystons head thrashed wildly as his eyes grew tight. “Stay away… I said No!!” he yelled this time as eyes popped open starling her. He breathed heavily as he looked at her intently. She had no idea whether she should comfort him or just stay quite. He sat up, realsing her from his grasp. His knees went up and his hands went to his head wiping off the sweat. “Rosco… Go fetch me some ale…” He stammered. “ROSCO!!!” She jumped up guessing she was Rosco in this case. She went to the table and grabbed a pitcher filled with something that smelled vile. She poured it in the mug. Angelica walked over to him and handed it to him.
“Good boy Rosco…” He murmured taking a big swig. He looked up at her and sighed. “What is your name? And where did you come from?” he said calmly as he took another drink.
Perplexed Angelica stammered, “Angelica Ramanos you made a deal with my father and…”
“Oh! Right the adviser’s daughter” He finished his ale and threw it roughly against the wall. It didn’t shatter but clanked. She stood there nervously not sure what to do. Moonlight hit him slightly. It showed his ripped chest that had sweat beading down it. He had scars all over his body. But the one that fascinated her was a long one that went from the top of his right shoulder all the way down passed his left hip. His hand went and grabbed her arm and pulled her down onto the bed. She went over his body and down back to where she was laying before. His hand touched her face caringly as he looked deeply into her eyes. She looked away. He turned her around back to the direction he placed her before. His hand went back around her waist and pulled her close as there bodies entangled once more. He started to pet her hair softly and slowly drifted back to sleep.
