Chapter 33
A New Life Awaits
Thomas
Thomas arrived back on the boat smiling. He had washed off the blood in the oceans water. He did not want to worry his wife. Robert was pacing in front of his room’s steps. Thomas laughed.
“Hi brother I was very successful!” He said clapping his brother hard on the back. Robert looked at him serious. A scream came from below. Thomas face changed expressions quickly, and then ran down the stairs. The door was locked and he banged on it. “It’s me let me in!” he yelled as Angelica screamed out once more.
“Good good one more almost there.” Thomas could hear Alyssa say to Angelica who cried out once more. Silence filled the air as Thomas stood there staring at the door. Robert stopped his pacing. Many of the crew members were on the deck waiting in anticipation. A loud slap came from behind the door and then a small cry. Thomas smiled in relief and Robert yelled out to the men loudly.
“Everything is ok the baby has been born!” Robert screamed. The crew cheered loudly. Alyssa opened the door and let Thomas in. Angelica smiled and looked at her worried husband.
“Come here honey. Say hi to your new daughter.” Thomas’s eyes welded up with tears as he took his new daughter from his lovely wife. He first kissed his beloved’s lips gently and then sat down holding his angel.
“Hi there… Im your daddy.” He said softly. Nathanial and Chipo walked in with Robert behind them. The two boys smiled as they walked up to the child. Thomas showed Nathanial his little sister as Chipo looked down grinning. Robert’s chest puffed out with great pride at the newest addition of their family. “What’s her name?” Thomas asked Angelica.
Taking her daughter back in her tired arms she looked up at him. “Emily after your mother.” Robert and Thomas’s smiles grew larger.
“It is perfect.” He said sitting down next to her. “Now I need you all to sit down and listen to what I have to tell you, for it is going to greatly impact us all. You too Captain Robert.” They all sat down and listened to all that transpired earlier.
