I woke up after an upsetting dream; it was the same one I had last night. Except in the caves, I not only heard my friends and family's voices, but I also heard three more: Red's, Diane's, and Cyril's and I also saw what I assumed were their Pokemon silhouettes.
I didn't get a good look at them but I did see that at least three or four of them, besides Caleb and Jaxon, would be small Pokemon if they came to Darkrai's world. And like yesterday, when I woke up from this dream, I wanted to punch something until my hands bled; that something was Malamar.
I looked at my watch, the time was 9:12 a.m. When I sat up, I saw I wasn't the first one awake. Caleb, Red, and Jack must have got up before I did as they were nowhere to be seen.
They must be in the cafeteria, I thought as I yawned, then stretched. Don't know what Caleb can do in there, other than wait for hot pancakes. As I glanced around the room, I saw that the auditorium was brighter.
I looked up at the narrow horizontal windows near the ceiling and saw sunlight streaming through them. I hurried out and made my way to the roof. I practically threw open the door and came to a halt. While there were still some rain clouds in the sky, and a gentle shower, the sun was most definitely out. That was when Abra appeared.
"Oh good, you're up," he said as he floated at my eye level. "There's been a change in plans regarding King Darkrai's trial. Instead of the abandoned school in Ghost Town, his trial will be held at the meadow where your base used to be. It's the only place that isn't flooded." He paused before adding; "Well, technically it is, but the water is barely above your feet." With that, he teleported away.
My stomach growled at that point so I went back inside and headed to the cafeteria.
"Perfect timing, Jenna," Caleb said from the tables when I came in. "Jack and Red just finished making breakfast."
Right then and there, Jack and Red appeared behind the severing counter carrying trays of french toast, pancakes, fruit and berry salads, and scrambled eggs.
"Good morning, Jenna," Jack said from the counter. "Help yourself. I'm gonna go wake everyone up." He added with a mischievous smile as he left for the auditorium, carrying a ladle and a tray lid.
I grabbed a tray of eggs and pancakes and practically scarfed it down. I was on my second helping of eggs when everyone and their Pokemon came in. The whole group mostly got french toast and pancakes while the Pokemon ate the salads. For some reason, almost nobody had any eggs.
After everyone was done, we all decided to have a pool party until the rescue crews came. The water was only five to three feet deep, depending on where you swam. It was when we were alone that I told Zoroark and the others Abra's message.
"We'll be waiting for you on the roof while you check on King Darkrai," Meowstic told me as she and the others left. Before I could shadow-jump to the secret room, I and everyone else got a phone call from our parents; or Officer Jenny in my case.
"Hey, Officer Jenny," I said. "How come none of us could call you the day before yesterday?"
"When Kontororu gave the Tech Agents at the station a flash drive he found in the Trio's hideout," she began. "There was a virus hidden on it and when they cracked the encrypted code, it disabled our phones; both cell and landline."
"Is everything okay?"
"Mm-hm." She said as she sighed. "We finally got that mess cleared up this morning."
