(Third)
Mismagius and the Beheeyem were all worried for different reasons when Malamar cut off contact.
Naturally, they were worried about Elgyem, Inkay, and Cacnea, but Mismagius was mostly worried about what the free-minded Pokémon would do in Malamar's absence. The Beheeyem were worried about what that thing inside Malamar would do.
Being pure Psychic and Ghost Pokémon, they can see those pitch-black tendrils forming puppet strings around Malamar. If they don't find someone, or better yet Ninetales, to help them expel that thing soon...
"Do any of you want me to Teleport you to where Elgyem and the others were last?" Mismagius asked them with a worried look on her face.
The Beheeyem flickered their finger lights frantically.
Beheeyem 1: I'm really worried about Elgyem. We promised the Mothership we'd keep him safe after we crashed on this planet.
Beheeyem 2: We're all worried about Elgyem! But what about our orders from Malamar? He's been more than good to us even before he got that thing inside him.
Beheeyem 3: And let's not forget that Mismagius needs our help capturing those humans. Who knows how many there are! For all we know, there could be more than those falling stars we saw that night.
Beheeyem 4: Don't forget about the human that we absolutely must capture: Jenna.
Beheeyem 5: So, we're staying with Mismagius for now. But once the capture of all those humans is complete, we'll teleport to the Shadow Mountains and search for Elgyem and his team. Agreed?
All: Agreed!
The Beheeyem told Mismagius what they had decided.
"I thank you for your assistance," she replied while inclining her head. "As soon as we're done here, I'll teleport you all to the Shadow Mountains."
"You will teleport only two of us," Beheeyem 2 said. "Who knows how much trouble those humans might cause before we get them to the dungeons."
Mismagius nodded her head in thanks as they continued through Ghost Woods to Mystic Village.
Finding their way through Ghost Woods was easier than they thought. For one thing, no Ghost Pokémon tried to scare them or lead them down a false trail. And after they were out of the woods, Mismagius teleported them all to the top of the landmass.
The Pokémon of Mystic Village were having a party, as they always do, when they got to the village square. Mismagius discreetly, through telepathy, asked the Beheeyem to scan their memories while they were distracted by the music and dancing.
Not only did they find Gardevoir and Zorua in their memories, but they also found Zorua's brother, Zoroark, and King Darkrai! They also found at least five or six humans and Gothorita's little sister, Gothita.
"Should we tell Malamar that he might have some competition for Gardevoir's affections?" Beheeyem 4 asked when they were all in a secluded spot under a tree; he was talking about the memories showing her and King Darkrai constantly in each other's company.
"Considering what just happened with Elgyem and his team," Mismagius replied. She thought for a moment. "Let's tell him the next time we see him in person."
The Beheeyem nodded their consent.
"Though we should at least tell Gothorita her sister is with our targets," Mismagius added.
"I was afraid of that," Gothorita said when they called her. "I haven't been in contact with her for over a month. It makes sense that she would come looking for me, and with Zorua being the new junior champion." She shook her head. "She must have thought that with her and Gardevoir around, it'd be safe enough to look for me."
