*This chapter will be told from multiple POVs.*

Using my psychic powers and occasionally shadow-spying, I made my way through the tunnel. I used my shadow-spying ability to check on Elgyem constantly, to ensure he was safe where I left him. While I was doing this, I also used my psychic powers to scan for any dangers and to keep an eye on the rest of my friends and family. Shockingly, they worked.
I didn't look for Darkrai, on the account of the dream I had last night.
Ninetales came to talk to me in that dream. She said, first, that my grandma was with her and that her Pokémon, Skuntank and Houndoom, had escaped from Dark Castle's dungeons a few days ago, as well as Munna. Then she said that Cresselia is protecting Darkrai from that thing inside of Malamar, and I shouldn't tell anyone. Especially Darkrai. Plus, I had to find a way to expel it from Malamar. Preferably before it takes over some other powerful Pokémon like Yveltal. Or an ordinary one like those I will meet as I get closer and closer to Dark Castle.
If those reikon crystals can stop Dark-types and/or weaken them, I thought. Then maybe they can trap that thing inside of them; after I figure out how to exorcise it from Malamar first.
It's worth a try, Cresselia said. Though I never thought we would be helping Malamar of all Pokémon.
Malamar willingly and knowingly allied himself with that thing in exchange for more power! Trust me, we're not doing him any favors. (I had decided, after the dream, that I wouldn't tell her I know she's protecting Darkrai from that thing.)
My psychic scanning was picking up three to five parties of hostile and determined Pokémon. (The difference between hostile and determined energies is the same as hot chocolate and coffee. Determined is the chocolate. And hostile is the very bitter black coffee.)
Only two of those parties were hostile, while the others were merely determined. One of the hostile parties has four members; the other one has at least seven or nine. The determined parties varied between two and three members.
One of those determined parties was chasing Jake and his group. That party had Mismagius and two Beheeyem. Jake and everyone were attacking the Beheeyem while Mismagius was chanting some kind of spell.
Zoroark and Red must have heard what was happening in that area of the cave because they arrived right when Mismagius was about to unleash her spell. Their sudden appearance caused her to lose her concentration, and her spell went everywhere. Needless to say, everybody, including Mismagius and the Beheeyem, ducked.
Feeling that the seven of them can handle themselves against those three, I searched for the smallest members of our group.
The boys were running down a tunnel just small enough for them, but that was where my vision ended; after they turned around a bend, it began to distort. It was like trying to see the bottom of a swimming pool with a lot of swimmers splashing about. And hearing anything that was going on was just as bad, so I tried shadow-spying.
No good.
I figured that Jake, Zoroark, and everybody were closest to my tunnel, so I shadow-jumped there first. Well, technically, I shadow-jumped to a small hideaway behind some large boulders.
I climbed up on top of those boulders and took stock of what was going on.
