The Illumise, Volbeat, Morelull, and Shiinotic illuminated the aisle while many of the Dark Kingdom subjects, Dark Castle's staff, plus the Pokémon from Mystic Village, including Toxicroak, stood at attention on either side. We were all in a meadow near the yet-to-be-rebuilt Dark Castle. The half-moon and stars glowed in the night sky as Jirachi, Mew, Hoopa, and a few Minior chased each other, with Zorua, Gothita, Meditite, Gothorita, plus Caleb and Jaxon following them on the ground.

It's been ten days since Darkness's defeat. During that time, we went to Borac Town to officially clear Darkrai's name and see how the many Pokémon, who were too injured or unwell to be at Malamar and Mismagius's trial, were doing.

Regrettably, there were still a few guild teams and Bounty Hunters out there who did not get the memo about Darkrai's innocence, and we had to clear up that mess time and time again. And let me tell you, that was one gigantic pain in the rear; I was so ticked off by those idiots' constant harassment that I nearly zapped those Pokémon with permanent paralysis. Luckily, those irritating pop-ups only lasted two days; any longer and I really would have blown my top.

(FYI: It is not a good thing to be a Legendary or Mythical Pokémon and lose your temper.)

Darkrai and Cresselia had been secretive, but I just put that down as a couple's thing. And frankly, after sixteen years apart, they deserved time alone together.

Speaking of which, Darkrai was hovering beneath the arch of glowing moonflowers, dressed to impress.

Beside him was a stairway to a cloud dais. The stones that made up the stairway were being held in place by the Psychic Pokémon's powers.

I had never seen him look so regal or happy.

I and the other girls were wearing either a corsage or a flower necklace, not of moonflowers, while the guys were wearing a red sash with a blue and white marble at the end; same for all of Darkrai's high-ranking generals, while the soldiers stood at attention behind Captain Zoroark.

It was when the Kricketune and Nuzleaf started playing that the kids stopped their game and ran over to stand at attention with the rest of us while Jirachi and Mew flew to the top of the dais. As they played, Cresselia appeared around the corner. She was glowing brighter than I remember seeing, with ribbons billowing.
