*Jin POV*

I sat there with the documents in hand, Jihoon looking at me sadly.

I shook my head ferociously, both afraid and confused as to what awaited me in those files.

"I'm sorry, but it's just as you suspected. Seokjae killed her parents that rainy April night. She's the girl left orphan by your brother. I'm sorry Jin-"

I stood up, ripping the file from his hand and walking out.

It had to be a lie.

I slammed the steering wheel as I drove home, my tears betraying me.

My head was spinning, the cars that drove by becoming a blur of nothingness.

Why was life so unfair?

"Your brother killed her parents Jin. You met her at your brothers funeral, do you not remember?"

My heart felt like it was being torn from the inside out. I wasn't sure what I was supposed to do.

To find out my own flesh and blood was the one causing her the most pain made my stomach turn.

It had to be a lie.

A big, and disgusting misunderstanding.

At the stoplight I slammed my head against the window, looking up at the dark sky, that with the pain simply became darker. Or was it the rain clouds that made it so gloomy?

Looking up, the sound of cars honking alerted me to keep moving.

But I couldn't move forward.

Not with the guilt that had arisen from all the madness that I had just been informed of.

"No," I mumbled.

"She committed suicide not long ago because of the grief she was experiencing. Your brother caused her that grief."

"NO! It can't be like that!!"

Jihoon's words danced in my head, my ears burning red the moment he confirmed my suspicion.

It was a bittersweet coincidence. One that left a sour taste in my mouth.

I had been theorizing myself that, maybe my brother had killed her parents, but I continuously brushed it off every time the thought entered my mind. Was I going nuts?

How could my brother have hurt her family?

What had possessed my brother to have driven off in the rain drunk like that, that day?

As I got out of the car, I simply hit the side of the door, trying to think over what had been revealed to me. I tried remembering what Jihoon had told me. I had met her before. At the day of my brother's funeral.

But who was she? How had I met her?

A flash of a girl in black, yelling curses in a language unknown to me, her hair cascading down to her waist, covering her face and sticking to it due to the tears falling on her face, came into my vision, blurring it as I reached the floor of my apartment.
