Chapter Twenty Three - A Special Someone
"The nominations for Best Rising Duo are—" A celebrity who I didn't know said into the mic.
"You were trying to tell me something during break earlier... what was it?" I whispered.
"Uhh.. just listen." Shawn said.
"Why?" I asked. That was until I heard who one of the nominations was Jack & Jack.
"And the winner for Best Rising Duo goes to...." The girl said again.
"Jack & Jack!" The other celebrity who was a guy yelled into the mic.
I looked around to see if they were here and sure enough they were. Jack Edward Johnson and Jack Finnegan Gilinsky. They were sitting on the opposite side of Shawn and I.
"Thank you." Johnson told the person who handed him the award.
"This is an honor." Gilinsky said into the mic.
"And a shock." Johnson chuckled.
"Well I think we have to thank the fans first." Gilinsky smiled.
"They voted and supported us during our whole journey and to think we were just two teens trying to make good vines and covers of song." Johnson smiled.
"So a huge thanks to all whole fandom. Also, we'd like to thank our loved ones who supported us as well. Especially a specific someone who I won't name for privacy reason, who happens to be watching at home." Gilinsky smiled cheekily with a slight blush on his face.
"I as well would like to thank a special someone to me, who happens to be in the crowd tonight and may I mention just how beautiful she looks tonight." Johnson said and looked right at me which made a few people stare.
"Um excuse me." I whispered to Shawn. I quickly got out of the building and went to the restroom as they finished the rest of their speech.
I looked at myself in the mirror and took a deep breath.
"What the hell." I thought to myself.
"Are you okay?" Someone asked which made me turn around quickly.
"Yeah, I'm fine." I mumbled and turned back to the mirror to touch up my makeup.
"You don't look okay. You look sorta freaked out." She said sheepishly.
"I sorta am. There's this guy and I guess he really likes me but I'm leaving soon and I don't know what to do!" I blurted out.
"Wow." She chuckled. "Well, if you don't want to start something then you should tell him before you reel him in any further." She said.
"You're probably right. It's just everything feels so right when I'm with him but I also know that nothing is going to stop me from going to New York." I sighed and sat in the small sofa in the middle of the room.
"It wouldn't be fair to him though. You leading him on when you'll just break his heart when you leave." She said and sat next to me.
