Chapter Twelve - Chocolate Chip Pancakes
I was beyond stressed. I had all this work for the weekend that Ms. Banner gave me and too make matters worse I had to finish all my personal essays for the colleges that I applied to.
I was rushing around my room with bunches of papers. My hair was in a half messy bun and I was wearing black sweats and a simple black tee shirt.
"Where is it!" I yelled in a stressed tone. "Ugh!" I said in a agitated tone.
"What is going on in here?" Alyssa said and looked around my room in pure horror.
It was a mess. Everything was everywhere. Papers scattered around my bed and desk. Some on the floor next to my laptop which was on the floor as well.
"I'm stressed." I sighed and took my hair out of the bun and then put it up into a high ponytail.
"It's Friday. We should be going out." Alyssa smiled.
"I can't. Not this weekend." I said and went back to my laptop and began typing again.
"How about we go up to the mountains and rent out a cabin? We could invite the Jacks and Grant." Alyssa smiled.
"I can't. Alyssa, I have all this work and it's all due on Monday. I can't just get up and leave." I told her.
"You could take it with you." Alyssa said. "A new change in scenery. Do your work in a calming environment without interruptions like your brother." She added.
"I don't know." I sighed and saved the document I was working on and closed my laptop.
"I promise you. Please." Alyssa pleaded.
"Ugh Fine." I agreed. "But you have to tell everyone and we have to leave tonight. So that we're there by like dawn so that I could set up everything for my work."
"Of course." She said excitedly. "I'll get everyone to start packing and we'll meet up here at your house."
"Yup." I sighed. Alyssa ran out of my room and I began to pack up all the papers I needed into this brown satchel bag that I had. I also put my laptop and its charger inside.
I then grabbed one of my suitcases and put enough clothes for two days inside and my makeup. Along with my shoes and some my charcoal face mask bottle.
I was going to need that so I could relax a bit better.
Once I had finished packing up my bathroom essentials and put them in my suitcase. I grabbed my phone and it's charger and put it in my brown satchel.
I grabbed my satchel and suitcase and brought it downstairs. I checked the time and it said 7:34pm.
"Where are you, Alyssa?" I mumbled to myself.
I went into the kitchen and wrote a note to where I was going for the weekend and stuck it onto the fridge.
I also made a coffee with a bit of creamer to help keep me up during the ride.
I heard a honk outside and grabbed my bags and walked outside to see Johnson in the drivers seat. Gilinsky, Alyssa and Grant in the back seat.
