Chapter Ten - Confession
I woke up the next morning and quickly showered and changed into a pair of light blue jeans with a normal white crop top tee. I grabbed a green jacket that was on my desk chair and my bag with all my necessities.
I rushed outside and slid on the jacket fully and entered my car. I drove to Starbucks to get my regular coffees for my workers and then drove to Island Records after.
I entered on time and handed Vanessa her coffee.
"What has you so happy this morning?" Vanessa chuckled.
"I guess it's just a good day." I shrugged and smiled.
I knocked on Ms.Banner's door and she yelled, "Come in."
I walked inside and she smiled at me.
"Actually on time I see." She laughed.
"Yeah, I actually woke up." I chuckled.
"Oh.. before I forget, Shawn wants you to help him record his new song so skip everything else today." She said.
"Will do." I smiled and handed the coffee to her.
I walked out and then entered the elevator to go up and entered the recording studio.
I saw Shawn sitting and just waiting.
"You didn't need me to record did you?" I asked and gave him a knowing look.
"No, I needed more details than recording." Shawn chuckled.
"You want to know how my date went?" I laughed.
"You never called." Shawn chuckled.
"Well it went amazing." I said while going through my photos and deciding whether I should post a photo or not.
"I need more than one descriptive word." Shawn said.
"We had an amazing dinner with the whole view of LA and then we did stargazing and he told me that he loves me." I smiled and blushed a little.
While still looking down at my phone, I posted the photo of me on Johnson's back while we were both doing funny faces. As the caption, I put 'A night out with this dude @jackj'.
Just as I posted it, Shawn got a notification.
"You weren't even listening to me. You were posting a photo." Shawn feigned hurt.
"Sorry." I chuckled.
"What is going on with you and Johnson anyway?" Shawn asked.
"Nothing. We're literally just friends." I shrugged.
"Yeah okay." Shawn said sarcastically.
"Well you should go home now anyway because I mean I'm not actually recording and I'm pretty sure that's all you had to do today." Shawn chuckled.
"Short day for me." I chuckled. "Well I'll leave your coffee here on this table and you better have that song done by tomorrow so we could actually record."
