Chapter Twenty Five - Goodbyes

"Shawn, I'm back with snacks!" I yelled as I walked inside his house with two full bags. Don't judge because you guys have no idea how much Shawn eats. The dude could probably eat all this food without me.

It was quite. I walked into the kitchen and placed the bags on the table.

"Shawn!" I yelled. I walked out of the kitchen and went towards the living room near the backyard doors.

You see since Shawn's is basically a mansion. He has two living rooms. One when you walk through the front doors and then the other where you walk through this hallway through the kitchen and then entering the second living room which was a bit nicer than the first. If all this even made sense to you.

Once I walked into the living room and I saw Johnson sitting on the couch fidgeting with his hands.

"Jack..." I said in shock. "What are you doing here?" I asked and stopped myself from just going up to him and hugging him and just never letting go.

"We need to talk." He said seriously and stood up from the couch and walked towards me.

"About what." I said and avoided his gaze.

"Well first, I thought you were hanging out with Alyssa and your family today?" Jack questioned.

"I can explain." I sighed and continued to avoid his gaze.

"You don't need to. I already spoke with Alyssa." Jack said and tried to get me to look at him. "I know you want to protect me but don't you think I have a right in this decision."

"I don't want to hurt you. If I leave then I'll just leave you with a broken heart. I can't do that to you. It's not right." I sighed and finally gave in and looked up at him. He was standing exceptionally close to me.

"And you won't. Because no matter what I'll always wait for you." Jack smiled softly and somehow managed to get even closer.

"That's not fair to you. You should be able to move on and find someone here that you can settle down with," I said and broke off my gaze with him.

"But I found you instead and I'd rather keep it that way." Jack smiled and put his hand under my chin. He slowly lifted my chin so that I was looked directly up at him.

He leaned in and closed the little amount of space left. His lips on mine felt perfect. I had missed this. I hated to admit it but I loved ever second of this.

"Keep it PG in my house now." Shawn chuckled and came out of nowhere which scared the living daylights out of me and caused me to bite Johnson's lip on accident.

"I am so sorry." I quickly said as Johnson quickly moved his hand to his stinging lip which was bleeding a little.

"Wow. Okay that hurt. But it's okay." Jack mumbled since he still had his hand on his lip.

"I am really sorry." I quickly said again.

"It's okay. I'll be in the bathroom. I'll be back soon." Jack said and walked off.

I quickly turned around and glared at Shawn.

"Look what you made me do." I scowled at Shawn.
