Chapter Eighteen - Everything Is Falling Apart

I woke up on my desk chair with a sharp pain in my neck. I looked up and saw my laptop opened and on my photos.

I smiled lightly and looked at the photo of Grant and I on Fourth of July, just looking at the fireworks with awe and a carefree smile.

I went to the next photo and it was one of my whole family. My parents weren't fighting during this time and Nathaniel and I were extremely close at the time.

My dad looked at my mother with pure love and Nate and I were just messing around with each other in the photo.

I changed the photo again and it was Alyssa and I at a Halsey concert and we were in the front and we're in the middle of yelling a lyric out loud.

I went to a new photo and it was recent. It was the one of Johnson and I. I was on his back and had given him a kiss on the cheek with him smiling widely.

I smiled at it and looked at the pikachu that was sitting in the corner of my room. I closed my laptop and walked up to it. I sat on the floor in front of the stuffed pokemon.

"Why does this have to be so hard?" I mumbled to myself and hugged the pikachu while leaning against the wall.

My phone rang which notified me that I had a message but I continued to ignore it and closed my eyes.

It kept ringing until I finally got tired of hearing it.

I saw Alyssa calling me so I answered.

"What is so important that you took me out of my thoughts?" I mumbled into the phone.

"We have a situation." Alyssa said with a worried tone.

"What is it?" I asked in a defeated tone.

"Grant and Johnson are in a heated argument and I have a feeling this isn't going to end well." Alyssa said.

"Where are you guys?" I asked quickly and grabbed my keys while still in my clothes from yesterday and my hair in a messy bun.

"At Johnson's House." She replied.

"I'm on my way." I said and quickly hung up.

I ran to my car and entered. I drove out of my driveway and sped to Johnson's house.

I parked halfway in the Jacks' driveway and got out leaving my keys in the car. I saw the front door was open so I just ran in and saw Grant and Johnson arguing in the backyard. They were shoving and yelling and I already knew that wasn't going to end well.

"Back off." Grant yelled and pushed Johnson.

"Dude. Chill." Gilinsky said as he tried to calm the situation down.

"G get out of the way. This is between me and him." Johnson said in an angered tone.

"You kissed someone who was taken." Grant yelled.

"I kissed someone who deserved the world. You weren't giving her that. Instead, you were giving her bruises." Johnson argues.
