Lindsey and Kristen had gone upstairs to go to bed for the night. They had went about their usual nightly routine.
Kristen had taken all of her pills that were supposed to help her heart, that weren't actually doing much. They kept everything stable, but there was no inprovement---healthwise.
Lindsey had went about changing and the only thing in his mind was Stevie and their very nice kiss. All he could think was if she liked it or not. He definitely knew he was content, but there was so much at stake with him kissing her. He hated the most that Stevie felt bad about it because, he knew he leaned. He knew that would eventually be his plan. He had been enticed by her personality since the day she stepped foot in the house. He had thought she was gorgeous, different, and kind hearted. He had said at the beginning, when Kristen sprung her idea about the dating game that he didn't want to be with a woman who would marry him out of pitty. But he could definitely see the genuine love between his kids and Stevie. He could see a genuine like that Stevie gave off. He knew he amused her and a lot of times he never tried, it came natural to want to please her.
"Honey, are you alright?" Kristen asked as she put a hand to his shoulder. She'd crawled into bed and noticed him sitting on the edge of his side and he was spaced out.
"Hmm? yeah!" he assured, turning to his side to get on the bed more. "I'm fine---I was just thinking about the album, that's all," he smiled. "Do you need anything?" he asked. He obviously still loved his wife. He still cared what happened to her and he feated the reactions of their kids. He knew his son was aware, but still... was he prepared? who really is prepared to lose somebody they love. Lindsey had known for months and he still couldn't fathom it.
"No, I'm okay. I am just super tired from today. I wanna sleep," she patted his hand.
"Okay, goodnight," he pecked her lips and she turned to shut off the bedside lamp. She stayed laying opposite to him.
Lindsey stayed just watching her breathing pattern change. He scooted down in bed and under the covers. He propped his head up with his arm and stared into the darkness of the room. He had so many things---good and bad, on his mind.

"I realy enjoyed when we kissed," Stevie calmly slurred. "Like that was so great," she nodded in assurance.
"You've said," Sharon giggled.
"He's really handsome," she then added. "What do you think? his blue eyes are like wild storms. Ugh!" she growled and put her head into her hands---resting on the bar. "I think I am a horrible human being. How could I get involved with a man whose wife's dying. Isn't that terrible?"
"Well, it seems like he made the move first in the very beginning," Lori mentioned as she sipped her margarita.
"Y'think he likes me?" she laid her arm flat on the table and rested her head on her arm as she gazed at her sister in-law.
Sharon played with her blonde strands as she just listened in. Stevie was always fun when she was drunk, she kept them entertained and nothing bothered her. She just got like a dizzy teenager.
"I think he does," Sharon assured as she braided pieces of her hair.
"Y'think?!" she popped up and looked at Sharon.
Sharon nodded.
"I like him too," she fumbled with her necklace as she stared into space. "Should I tell him?"
"No!" both girls yelled at her.
"Why not?" she whined.
"Because his wife won't like that," Lori stated.
