"Kris, this is fuckin' ridiculous," Lindsey said very unamused as she rolled away any lint on his clothes. It had been a few days since Stevie had moved in and he was dreading the days right after, since he had dates with his wife and her friends.

"Hey, watch it," she said in a slight tone. She didn't want her kids picking up on the language her husband used constantly behind closed doors.

"Kristen, I don't want to go. I don't see the point in going to lunch with a friend of yours."

"I already told you and I am going too. Just to support you."

"What the hell do I have in common with one of your colleagues?" he leered at her though the full length mirror.

"Me," she shrugged-giving him a smile.

He rolled his eyes.

"Lindsey, this is for your own good, I promise," she patted his shoulders.

"I don't see how," he flung his arms out in sight distress.

"Lindsey, it'll be fine. We'll just have lunch and you tell me what you think of her okay? you still have two more dates after this."

"Music to my ears," he rolled his eyes as he put his watch on.

"Can you stop being so negative?" she put her hands on her hips.

"Oh, I'm sorry-it's not every day your wife is setting you up on dates," he emphasized loudly.

"You act like it's gonna kill you," she huffed. "Can't you just appease me? and pretend to be happy?"

"I can pretend?" he replied abruptly.

She leered at him. "I'm doing this for you."

"Yes, I understand that," he said sympathetically as he took a step forward to wrap his arms around her waist loosely. "I appreciate you going out of your way, but you're kind of invading my way. I've never saw this happening this way."

"Well, how've you see it?"

"I saw it with me going first preferably," he rolled his eyes. "And way later in life like fifty years from now."

"Well, sadly that isn't the case, Lindsey. I hate ruining that vision for you."

He stayed quiet, taking in her words.

"But please, just be charitable for me?"

"Yes," he grunted-rolling his eyes.

"Thank you-love you," she smiled in satisfaction.

"Do I even know this lady?" he asked more concerned.

"Yeah, you know all of them," she assured.

"What are their names?" he shoved his hands into his pockets as he creased a brow.

"Cherlyn, Vanessa, and Samantha..." she looked at him.

"Samantha..." he pondered. "Sam?" he questioned.

"Mhmm," she nodded.

"I thought Sam was married?" he creased a brow.

"Her and her husband separated," she slipped a bangle over her wrist.

"All of a sudden," he mumbled to himself as he looked to the floor.

Once Kristen was ready, the couple made their way down the stairs to meet their kids and Stevie.

"Oh, you guys look nice," Stevie mentioned.

"Thank you," Kristen responded. "We have a lunch date."
