Stevie was really confused as to what was going on because just a couple days ago she and Lindsey had just about the most romantic night ever. She thought it was just the beginning of their future. She knew she shouldn't have gotten so carried away, but she couldn't have helped it and Lindsey didn't help her at all. She was scared if he was marrying Lorraine. She wasn't ready to lose the most amazing thing in her life and that was him.

"Did you know where your dad went last night?" Stevie asked William who was still across from her.

"He said he was going with the band, but I don't know. He could've met Lorraine and told us that instead," William said. He was so mad that he was thinking of explanations. He didn't realize he was putting those bad assumptions in Stevie as well. He was young and mindless to his dad and Stevie even being a thing, though he liked Stevie a whole lot more than Lorraine. He just didn't want another mom so soon.

"How come you think that?" Stevie kind of lingered. She could see a bitterness eating at the young kid. She didn't really know what to believe at the moment. Her heart was starting to break piece by piece because, the thought of Lindsey marrying another woman, killed her.

He shrugged again. He just didn't want to admit how mad he really was. "He also said it was what mom asked them before she died..." he put his head down as that thought rekindled in his mind.

She put her hand over his free one, because, she didn't mean for him to come up with that memory. But now she was pressed. If it was Kristen's last wish, maybe she had to let him go to see it out.

Once William had finished his breakfast, they made their way back upstairs. Only for William to play with his game again and for her to ponder about Lindsey's choices, if they were his true choices. She sipped her tea as she laid in bed, with tears threatening her eyes. She didn't want to exactly jump to conclusions and she didn't want to mention it to Lindsey, but she had to know what was going on. She needed to know if he was doing it for Kristen or for himself.

A little before noon, Lindsey pulled into her courtyard, to pick up the kids. The night before---his band mates had agreed they would take the kids out. He was relieved because he wanted to spend some time with Stevie alone. It had been a few days now, since they had spent that great night with each other and he really wanted to be with her again. Not just in that way, but he loved everything about her. He got off the car and walked up her stone pathway. He knocked gently among the door.

William opened the door and he rolled his eyes lightly at the sight of his father. He hadn't been too pleased with him. He felt he wasn't trying to break it off with Lorraine and he was lying about it being last minute.

Lindsey gently rolled his eyes in return and kept his neutral expression as he entered. He knew his son was mad, but there was nothing he could do about that just yet. "Where are your sisters?" he asked.

"Upstairs," he answered bluntly as he plopped his ready-self of the arm chair.

"Thanks," Lindsey then made his way up the stairs to let his girls know they were going with his co-workers. "Hey ladies?" he smiled at the three girls in bed, laying down.

"Hi daddy!" the young girls said in unison with a wide smile.

He went to sit at the foot.

Stevie couldn't help but smile at his presence. Even though she was truly questioning his actions and wanting to cry, about him. She slipped out of bed and went into her restroom where she could go away for a second and hope he would just leave with the kids soon. She loved the kids dearly and she never minded them, but right now she was a mess of jumbled questions.
