29. A Family Affair

Stevie and Lindsey got settled in her bedroom after getting William settled in the guest room of her parents home. The boys weren't exactly prepared for staying the night, but they made do with the dressy clothes they were wearing. Lindsey didn't really care since he was so exhausted. His day consisted---a lot of thinking. Stevie had been in his thought for months, but this morning and afternoon, she was a constant. He then left his wedding in a rush and went home for further information and then he got on the plane to get to Arizona and then the car to get to Stevie's house. The plane ride definitely cut down the whole time frame, but he was filled with anticipation all the while. He was so nervous that Stevie wouldn't take him back at all. He was scared he'd lost her forever.

"I missed you so much," Stevie whispered on to his lips as she kissed him. She held him close as they both began to dose.

"I missed you too, baby," he had her wrapped in an embrace---her hip pressed to his comfortably.

When the next early morning arrived---it was really early. Stevie had been up most of the night, just to admire Lindsey's handsome features. She had been sleeping her pain away for the last months, so she wasn't tired. She loved watching him, but pretty soon she would start getting up to pack her things to go home with him. In her opinion, she felt; she overstayed her visit in Arizona with her parents. She wanted to get out of their hair, even if they told her she wasn't a burden. She really did want to go home at the same time, as well and that was because, she missed the other children. She had also missed her home and she was hoping to create some more memories.

Lindsey had woken up, and he was in bed alone, this time. He could see all of Stevie's bags packed and sitting on the middle of the floor. He smiled because, he knew she was serious about coming home.

A few minutes later, Stevie came in and she had a fluffy robe wrapped around herself. "Morning," she smiled. Her hair was damp, but starting to curl up as it was drying.

"Morning, beautiful," he scootched down to the feet of the bed.

She leant down and kissed his lips, since she was standing in front of him. "Did you sleep well?" she whispered.

"You were by my side all night, how could I not?" he smirked at her.

"Still, you are a charmer. But seriously?" she asked.

"I slept fine," he assured as he got up. "What time did you want to leave?" he asked as he got up.

"Whenever. I know you boys probably want to get out of those clothes by now," she kind of laughed.

"Oh yeah," he looked down at his very wrinkled wedding attire. "Where's Will?" he then asked.

"Having breakfast," she replied as she began putting light makeup on.

"Cool," Lindsey then made his way to the bathroom, to wash up as best as he could. He didn't really have anything at all. The stay over night was definitely not planned. But he wasn't complaining because, he got something very important back. Stevie was so intrical in his life. He couldn't really explain how he felt when she was around him.

Soon after, he made his way out of the restroom and Barbara ushered him over. "Here you go," she placed a plate of food in front of him.

"Wow thanks, I appreciate it," he smiled warmly.

"No problem," Barbara smiled. "Did you sleep well?"

"Yeah," he assured as he rose his glass of orange juice. He also had some coffee near his plate.
