As the months went on, Kristen was unfortunately becoming weaker. Still, she had some good days and in those good days, Lindsey would take her out or she would have a friend to pick her up to go and do something. Not many of her friends knew about her heart disease, but her childhood friends and of course they were devastated, but what could they do. The medicine she was taking was almost useless and she, herself was ready to give up. But Lindsey encouraged her to try and stay strong. He was not ready for her to go at anytime. He needed help with their kids and he couldn't fathom her going. Not ever.
Lindsey had stopped working in the studio with the band and they began working on their album in his home studio. He still checked on his wife strenuously and sometimes she would stay in the studio with him, but it was hard since they did have kids. It only made her being sick tougher. Both her and Lindsey were scared about their kids. Their daughters were still very young and their son was still a child, no matter how old he thought he was. They knew it wasn't going to be easy. In fact that was the hardest thing about her illness. If she and Lindsey didn't have kids, they both probably wouldn't be as anxious, but everything turned around with the kids.

"Lindsey?" Kristen called for her husband lightly as she walked through their home.
"Yes?" he asked in full concern. When he got to her he gripped on to her to keep her steady.
"We need to talk," she ushered him by cocking her head to the couch so they could sit.
He guided her in the direction of the living room and they both sat down. "What's going on?" he asked, with her hand in his.
"Well, two things. We're going to need more help. I can't keep up with the girls anymore---they have too much energy and I can't do it," she shook her head. Tears filled at her brims because, it made her sad that she couldn't play with her children without wanting to pass out.
"Okay," he nodded---just as upset as she was, but he didn't show it. He swiped her hair out of the way. "What did you want to do?"
"How'd you know I had a plan?" she asked, cracking a small smile.
A weak smile creeped along his lips. "Because, I know you."
"Alright," she chuckled lightly. "We need to hire a live-in nanny."
"Okay," he nodded.
"But here is the second thing," she added. "I don't want the kids in public school anymore. I want them to be home schooled."
"Home school?" he pondered a little.
"Yeah. I don't want them to be gone for so long in the day and I am left without them. I want to spend as much time as possible."
"Okay," he nodded once again.
He was afraid of what she was insinuating behind that statement. Did she know something more that he did?
"So a nanny with a teaching degree?" he asked.
"No, silly," she shook her head. "A nanny and a teacher. We'd be lucky if she could do both. But I don't want to take chances, Lindsey. Everything we've been doing isn't helping. So, for now I need help just while you're working. And plus the kids having a nanny will give them something else to have if I do--"
"Stop," he shook his head. "You're gonna be fine."
She gave a weak smile and placed her hand on the side of his face. "Lindsey, there is a big possibility that I am not. I know you're scared, but we have to be prepared."
He stiffly nodded.
"Okay. I want to make sure the kids have everything they need. I want them to be content and happy."
