Vasco x Male Reader

     (Name) sat huffing in the corner of the architecture room. He had heard Vasco had a blind date that evening.  After the first blind date (Name) didn't think Vasco would try again, but the man was persistent in his chase for a wife, kids, and a kangaroo.  It irked (Name) to his core.

     He had been there for Vasco since middle school; not as long a Jace had been.  It was a pain seeing Vasco go after girls when he was standing right there.  (Name) was more than ready to deal with kids and a kangaroo, so long as the dummy next to him would be there too.

A couple of the other guys from the department were quick to catch onto (Name)'s sour mood. Damon Goh was first to approach his fellow BurnKnuckle's member. He was cautious and slow with his movements. "(Name) we see you're upset. Would you like to tell us why?"

(Name) shifted his eyes from his lap to Goh. "No, I don't feel like sharing actually".

Goh looked to the others for some support. They weren't much help though, so he just figured he'd ask again and be persistent. He stepped closer.

"No! Goh I'm not sharing," the men could hear the strain in (Name)'s voice.

"I see," Mason Hwang said "It's a heart issue". The others gave awed sounds at the realization, and (Name) tried to curl into himself more. The guys were always too nice with this kind of stuff. The whole gang would know about it by the end of the day, so he had to keep his mouth shut to stop Vasco from finding out.

(Name) huffed our a sigh as the others began to converge upon him. "If your heart is hurting you should share" one of them said. "Right we can help," said another. The last one (Name) heard was "It's not good to hide a broken heart" before he got up and left the room.

     Muttering to himself (Name) stomped down the hallway.  "Those guys are idiots.  Even if they're my idiots I can't tell them anything as important as this.  No one needs to know about me liking,"

    "Oh, does (Name) has a secret crush?"  The voice behind him shut (Name) up immediately. Yui Kim was the one who had overheard him.

"No I don't you blabber mouth!" He said defensively.

"Come on. I heard you right. You were gonna talk about your crush, so who is it? Fess up". The girl kept badgering (Name), but like the guys in Burn Knuckles he couldn't let such information slip into her hands, so he kept his mouth shut. Yui was far better at getting the gossip she wanted, than the Burn Knuckles, though. She got him to slip up. (Name) let it slip out that he liked Vasco faster than he even noticed.

Yui noticed though, and looked frozen. Seeing her stop moving made (Name) actually think about what he had said to her, and when he did his face scrunched up. "You will not tell anyone about this" he pointed at her getting in her face. "If I hear so much as a peep about my crush or me even having one I'll be holding you responsible. Get me!"

The girl nodded, but of course that threat hadn't been enough. The school was soon swarming with the gossip. It slipped out one person's lips and into another's ears before beginning the cycle all over again. The whispers were driving (Name) into a panic. But nothing made his heart stop as harshly as when he saw someone tell Vasco, and then he made eye contact with him.

(Name)'s face went from white to rose red in seconds at Vasco's steely expression. He couldn't imagine taking the rejection from him so he ran. (Name) quickly held himself up in the boys' bathroom. He jumped when he heard knocking.

"(Name) what's wrong? Why did you run away? Did you have to poop?"

(Name) felt himself sweat as he leaned all his weight against the door. "N-no Vasco. I'm fine really". He tried to convince the man on the other side of the door. Luckily he was too dense to truly understand the situation it seemed.

There was silence from the other side of the door until "Jace says that is not true. What is it (Name)".

Damn it Jace (Name) thought. Even if Vasco was dense Jace wasn't, and it sounded like he wanted the situation resolved. (Name) cursed his friend under his breath. "Okay, fine," (Name) relented. He let up the pressure on the door, and let Vasco in. Jace didn't follow saying he'd be outside.

"(Name), what's wrong? You ran away from me".

(Name)' s (eye color) eyes found it hard to look into Vosco's so they were directed towards the ground. "I was just... worried is all. I figured since that guy told you about the thing I have that you wouldn't want to talk to me, or that you'd reject me".

Managing to look up (Name) saw Vasco thinking. He was obviously trying to think of what he had been told before (Name) ran off. "About you having a crush on me?" (Name) meekly nodded his head in response. "You don't need to be worried about anything. We can still have kids and a kangaroo after we get married".

(Name) blinked. "So, you're not rejecting me?"

"Why would I?" Vasco replied.
