I did say Jay is hard for me to write for, but I said I would write this before I found that out. Hope you like it.
Relationship: Friends to lovers
Note:  Reader is a pacifist

It was hard for (Name).  Everything was always hard for him, but since he entered the vocal and dance department at his high school it had been getting worse.

(Name) was being bullied by the self proclaimed most-handsome-guy-in-school. His bully, Vin Jin, was a horror. He would harass (Name) in and outside of school. Even if (Name) was absent the guy would seek him out.  Like yesterday when he stayed home to help out his sick grandmother.  She had been stuck in bed, and couldn't afford a day off.

At the time (Name) was arranging the flowers at his grandmother's florist shop.  Vin Jin found him, and made his way over.  (Name) had caught sight of him as he walking in his direction, and braced himself for the onslaught.

"So loser, this is where you've been.  Playing with flowers.  What you drop out to come work here? It's like I didn't have enough reasons to hate your ugly self."

(Name) furrowed his brows at the taller boys comments.  "You already know this is my grandma's shop since you've followed me here before.  Remember laughing at me?  And I'm not the loser with no life tracking down a classmate just to insult them".  The offended look on Jin's face let (Name) know his word hit him.  His retorts always did.

He had no problem standing up for himself.  After (Name) went through moving to Korea, getting into his current school, and doing damage control on his reputation as a whole he refused to ever suffer without a fight.

That's what drew the annoying cap wearing boy to him though.  All the verbal fight the boy had.  (Name) wouldn't through a punch.  Physical fights were too barbaric, and he had no intention of ever taking part in one.  It was that attitude that Vin Jin sought out.  An easy mark who looked tough, and wouldn't kill him or even try to.

When Vin Jin was done being shocked he looked mad.  "Huh!  Scar face is telling me I'm a loser,"

"No one else is here to impress.  Stop stating things we both know already".

Jin's face contorted into an even more annoyed expression.  "Shut up, I'm the best looking guy in school, and you look like you're face had a fight with a blender.  You think you can cut me off, short stack?"

"It's one scar, so why don't you shut it,"

"I'm gonna make your life hell you little shit.  Come back to school tomorrow if you dare".  (Name) watched the boy storm out of the shop.  He knew the next day at school would be a pain, but there was no way he was giving Vin Jin the satisfaction of keeping him away.

It had all led up to now.  Vin Jin had (Name) backed up against a hallway wall, and was about to throw a punch at him.  The (hair color) haired boy couldn't get away since all the other students had him boxed in.  Unable to get away and unwilling to fight his way out (Name) let the fire behind his (eye color) eyes bore into Vin Jin's soul.

As Vin Jin brought his fist down through the air a strong force knocked him out of the way.  The teen's body ended up hitting a couple of onlookers.

(Name) recognized his savior.  His blond haired friend for years Jay.  He was silent as he walked closer to (Name) to check if he was okay.  (Name) could feel the question going through Jay's mind, and took the silence around them as an opportunity to answer.  "I'm fine Jay.  Thanks for coming to the rescue".

Jay nodded his head accepting the thank-you from his friend.  Jay turned to face Vin Jin hearing the creaks and groans caused by him getting up.  Upon standing Vin Jin glared at everyone like a mad dog until his eyes landed on Jay.

He growled "What are you doing, dick?  If you're gonna hit me for this," he pointed towards (Name) "you must be an idiot.  You've both disrespected me.  I'll ruin you".

Jay was quiet as usual, but (Name) could tell the thoughts going through his mind.  He may be a pacifist, but Jay would have no problem punching this kids lights out.  When he saw Jay's fist up to fight he figured Jay wanted Vin to know what the two of them did.  "He'll punch your lights out if you try.  He's not too thrilled you're bullying me either, so he'll take you on anytime.  Just take off your sunglasses".

Vin Jin stumbled back.  He wasn't interested in anyone who could actually beat him.  He certainly wasn't taking off his glasses either.  "Oh, fuck off.  You two deserve each other.  I'm outta here" Vin Jin said; once again storming out.

The fight was over, and the crowd dispersed.  (Name) turned to Jay.  "Thanks again.  I appreciate the rescue, Jay."

The other boy grew flustered at the sign of gratitude now that they were alone.  (Name) flashed him a smile.  "How about we go on a date?  It's my thank you".

Jay could hardly believe what he heard and acted nervous while his face flared up.  He tried to deny.  "It's fine Jay.  I know you like me".  The words made him calm down.  "I've known for quite a while, alright?  So how about it?"

Jay's brain needed a chance to catch up, and take in the information.  Once it did though he began nodding "yes" furiously.  It got to the point where (Name) was almost worried his head might just fly off.
