(Name) couldn't tell what they wanted. Before them sat a difficult decision. They could either get the brand new (game console) with all the new features the manufacturing company had to offer or keep their hard-earned money in their pocket where it belonged.

Behind them was Kouji their long time friend. His palms were sweaty, knees weak, arms feeling heavy. He shifts his weight from one foot to the other as he watches them look through the store's glass window.

Kouji's voice is choked as it comes out. "Uhm, (Name) I needed to ask you" he cuts off as they turn to face him. Looking into their (eye color) eyes he sees their curiosity. It makes it feel like there is nothing else. "(Name) I want to date you, so be my -"

"Nope, don't finish that!" they said.

Kouji looked confused and a bit dejected. "You don't want to?" (Name) could see him picking back up. Kouji's cocky self returning. "I'm great though! Who's better than me?"

(Name) covered their face with their hand. "You already know who I like. I told you last week remember?"

He clearly did not remember. He threw his hands into the air. "Then tell me again! I'll show what a loser they are by kicking their ass. Then you'll surely see how amazing a boyfriend I'll make". Kouji was off in his own world thinking about himself, but he still kept an ear out for (Name)'s answer. When it didn't come he rose a brow at them questioningly. "Common, really tell me who it is".

Sighing (Name) knew it was no use. Kouji would never give up without and answer so it only left them with one option. Run away.

(Name) bolted down the street. They'd hide out at home and hope Kouji would drop the whole idea.

Of course they couldn't make their escape so easily because as soon as they started running Kouji was right behind. Kouji might be thin but his athleticism could use work.

After rounding several corners (Name) was able to lose him. The bad news was that they were somewhere they didn't recognize.

A groan came from around another corner. Looking into an alley (Name) could see two figures fighting although one was clearly winning. Unable to see either of their faces but hearing the sound of the vicious beating they tried to back away.

While taking several steps back (Name) tripped on a piece of uneven sidewalk. Their fall cause them to hit the nearby dumpster. Their groaning, caught the fighters attention and he didn't sound happy to have been seen.

Presumably dropping his victim the man made his way towards (Name). Still on the ground (Name) could feel their heart race as he loomed over them.

Just as they were about to see the man's face Kouji jumped out from nowhere. He stood between (Name) and the man with a wide stance. His surprise appearance gave (Name) enough time to get themself back off the ground.

"We'll be going now" Kouji said. He grabbed (Name)'s hand and ran leading them away. The guy chased after them though. He was right behind them at every turn until they passed a small shop. Outside the shop stood two guys (Name) recognized. They knew Kouji via the Chairman.

As their attacker passed the shop the two men stepped in front of him. He looked confused before the blonde guy punched him. After that (Name) couldn't see anymore as they kept running.

Kouji said over his shoulder "I saw what was happening and called those two dullards. They were in the area and I blackmailed them so they came".

He sounded to proud of that, but (Name) didn't fight him on his morals this time, and said "thanks". Kouji continued pulling (Name) along and the two ended up gaming at his house for the rest of he day.
