Being with Gun could be difficult at times.  He's got a lot of thoughts he doesn't like to share and it can make him come off as moody.  Talking about it with Goo was good and bad.  Good because he understood what it was like and bad because it leads to the two of them fighting, and fighting leads to needing home repairs.

The one thing that is tougher than loving a tough man is working alongside him.  (Name) knew from experience how hard it could be handling a business where everyone is trying to beat you up.  It's that experience that made her be so hard on herself right now.

She hadn't been paying enough attention is what she kept repeating to herself.  She was currently in Gun's arms as he carried her to his car.  In a few seconds they'd be on their way to a hospital.  Looking up at Gun (Name) really hoped she would make it there.

It had been just another day.  (Name) and Gun had woken up and gotten ready for the day together as usual.  For three years they had the same routine.  Get up, go to work, go home.  Always done together.

Work today demanded that the two of them check on one of Gun's possible successors. He wasn't faring well and this would likely be his send off. Of course Gun could do it alone but (Name) never would have let him. After he got his ribs fractured and struggled home one day she took up the mantle of being his back-up.

Arriving at his soon to be let go successor's hang out, it was clear to see something was off.  The kid probably knew what was coming and was going to put up a fight.  There were a lot more thugs hanging around than usual.

Stepping out of the car (Name) followed behind Gun.  She stood by the door as he went in to talk.  Looking around she could see the thugs closing in.

It was inevitable.  Only a few minutes into the news he'd been dropped and the guy freaked out.  He started swinging at Gun and his goons did the same. 

With (Name) managing the thugs outside, Gun was able to handle the ones inside without much worry.  On the outside (Name) was surrounded but otherwise fine.  She took out the ones that came after her first.  Then she started taking ground and going after the ones farther back.

Just as (Name) was about to finish off the last of them a bang sounded and sharp pain ran up her side.  She collapsed and Gun came running outside.  Seeing (Name) face down on the ground he ran over to her and moved her onto her back.

Any remaining gangsters took the opportunity to flee the scene.

No longer under attack, but now with a fatally wounded (Name) Gun had to act fast.  He was as gentle as possible while picking her up and rushing to the car.  He was talking to her but the dazed look in her eyes let him know she didn't understand a word he said.  He was lucky if she was putting anything together in her head at all right now.

Driving to the hospital Gun was on edge.  He nearly busted the doors down once he arrived with (Name).  Fortunately there was an emergency team there able to take her.

It was hours before Gun was allowed to see (Name) again.  She'd be fully recovered and only have a short stay in the hospital.  Of course slipping away from the police who came in to ask about how everything happened was a pain but Gun was just glad (Name) would be okay.
