"Great job today every one!" Our director calls out at the end of rehearsal. "Ooo! Tomorrow we start blocking our first love seen!" She squeals. Oh god, my scene with Jaeden.

"See you tomorrow." Jaeden says as he walks past me. I fake smile and say bye, but little does he know I'm freaking out. I honestly have no idea why, I mean my life isn't like complicated right now. Jaeden is my costar, that my best friend told me to try to avoid, and my boyfriend is kinda fine with. That's that.

"Hey, Corinne!" A voice calls from behind me as I'm walking through the hallway to leave school. I turn around to see Emily Skinner, who is playing Heather Chandler. For someone playing the bad bitch Heather, Emily sure is nice. Like it's almost hilarious how she goes from nice pretty Emily to evil hot Heather.

"Hey." I slow my walking down so I fall into step with her. Ugh, she's a slow walking. These people are the worst.

"So I was wondering, if you want any help with the love scene stuff I could help you. I mean I was the female love interest last year so like just if you think you'd want any like pointers or like whatever." She rambles. I have no idea how to tell her that I've been preparing myself to play Veronica for years and I don't need any help what so ever, so I just say ok. She leaves me alone after that, and I get outside into my moms car soon enough.

When I get home I immediately begin to run lines to prepare of tomorrow when I get a text from an unknown number.

Shit, I must've really been drunk because I never give random people my number. It's seriously a reminder on my phone so whenever I'm drunk at a party and go to open my phone is says "don't give weirdos your number".

Oh ok. Wait how do you know I'm running lines

Would you wanna meet to do it together? We could get coffee or something?

Shit, he offered coffee. He knows how to win me over.

Shit, a smiley face. He's acting like a 14 year old girl when the guy she's had a crush on for forever says "wanna hang", seriously that's what he is acting like. A smiley face. He sent a fucking smiley face! And not even an emoji one! He took the time to go into the numbers category on the keyboard and find the keys he needed. Oh the only way this could be worse would be if it was a winkey face. God, I'm praying to you right now that Jaeden never sends me a winkey face.

I get to Rose's in 12 minutes, because trying to get mom to lend me the car was easier then expected. I wonder if Jaeden has his own car or uses his parents, I don't think it's ever come up. I look around the room and I don't see him, so I order my iced coffee with milk and sit at a table for two. I grab my script and put in open on the table so it doesn't look like I'm waiting for him. I mean I am waiting for him, because starting without him would just be rude. But I don't want him to know I'm not rude.

"Hey, Corinne." Jaeden says, walking up to my table. I look up from the script to see him smiling intensely with a coffee in his hand. Iced coffee no ice, Finn's order. Wait, he already has a drink. That means he walked into Rose's minutes ago, saw me, decided to get a drink first and probably watched my while waiting for it, and then decided to grace me with his presence. God, he is so fucking weird.

"Hey, Lieberher." I say. I read somewhere that the best way to friend zone a guy is to call him by his last name, so I guess I listen to teen magazines now. Maybe it will work, who knows.

"What page is it?" He asks getting his script and stuff out on the table. I tell him, he turns to it, we establish where to start, and we do.

"Greetings and salutations. Want a slurpee with that?" Oh, I guess Jaeden is a good JD. I mean, he has that secretly-a-psycho vibe about him, and it really works for the character.

"No, but if you're nice, I will let you buy me a big gulp." And that's how it all starts, that the first real time Veronica and JD spoke. Then it leads into a somewhat-awful song sung by JD about brain freezes and whatever the fuck he talks about. It's weird watching Jaeden act. I mean, like he doesn't really talk differently then he does when he is just being himself, but like he is good.

"Wanna do the love scene next?" He says in between sips of his coffee when we finish the first scene.

"You mean the romantic sad one or the one where I'm fucking you intensely?" I laugh, and he does to.

"The intense fucking one, seems a lot more fun." He is smiling so much it's insane. I've decided that Jaeden is one of those really nerdy guys that ends up with the hottest girl in school. Like you know, the guy that's in all the old movies and shit. He's that guy that no one would ever expect to be awesome. And I guess i'm kinda glad he gets to be my first real love interest in a show.
