"C, what's wrong?" Maddie's voice rings through my ears. I don't know how longs it been since I last opened my mouth, but I assume a while.
"Uh, I just saw something."
"Saw what? And wait where? Aren't you in your house?" Maddie goes on asking questions, but I barely know the answers.
"I'be heard people call Jaeden a psycho, do you happen to know why?" I remember Finn, Maddie, and a bunch more people called Jaeden a psycho and many of its synonyms in the past. I guess I've never really wanted to know why.
"Oh uh. That week the summer of seventh grade, when you went to singing camp or whatever. There was some pool party at whoever's house, and Jaeden brought goggles that had the attachable snorkel and whatever. Someone spread a rumor that he was just sitting underwater looking at people in their bathing suits and stuff. I don't really believe it." Maddie explains. It just about sounds like the absolute dumbest shit I've ever heard.
"If you don't believe it why do you still think he is a creep?"
"Oh, one time at your house I saw him looking at us through your window. It was probably just a one time thing I don't know, but it creeped me the fuck out." Maddie's voice doesn't hesitate once during the conversation. The whole time while she talks I just stare out the window, into the camera.
"Ok, thanks Mads. Love you, see you in school." I hang up on my best friend, close my blinds, and move on with my life.
