After a single event changed Grace's life, she turned into one of the biggest up and coming actresses in the industry. With the stress she's facing at work and the things she's dealing with in her personal life, will she be able to fight all of the...
On Tuesday, Tom and I were spending a lot of time getting ready. The place Emily and John suggested was a casual yet classy place, so we didn't want to overdress or underdress for dinner.
"What about this, baby?" I held up a hanger, where a simple dress with a floral pattern hung. It was the third dress I held up because the first seemed too casual and the second was way too classy.
"It looks like it'll be perfect. Third time's the charm." He smiled as he held up two more hangers, a shirt on each. "What do you think?"
"The geometric polo. I think the shorter sleeves bring the casual, but the pattern makes it classy." He grinned as he kissed my cheek and I hung the dress over the shower rod so I could begin my makeup. "Red lipstick good for tonight?"
"Red lipstick on you is good any night." He smiled gently as I picked up some primer.
"Thanks, love." I smiled as I began my makeup at the mini vanity we had set up for me. As per usual whenever he got the chance, Tom sat down and watched me do my makeup while we chatted. Today, that chat was mainly used to get our minds off of how nervous we were "Out of curiosity, is there a reason you like doing this?" I asked as I grabbed my mascara wand.
"A few, actually. I know it's something you love doing, and you know I love watching you do what you love and are great at." He was right, I did love doing my makeup. Hell, I had even done it for the premiere of Fighting Flex. "Plus, it's just really cool to see what the full process is. Apart from occasional FX stuff, usually the makeup artists just really do complexion and cover-up steps to even my skin. I really like seeing the process for your eyes in particular." I grinned, looking down at my makeup collection.
"Do you want to put on my fake eyelashes for me?" I smiled at him through the large bathroom mirror, and his eyes widened.
"Are you sure?" I smiled and nodded, pulling out my eyelash kit.
"Yeah. I can talk you through it if you'd like."
And just like that, he was straddling my lap as he used the tweezers I had given him to put my lashes on. His hand was gentle as he placed the first one, using the back end of the tweezers to apply pressure. "How did I do?" I grabbed a handheld mirror, smiling as I looked at his placement.
"Wonderful." I smiled, bringing the mirror down pressing my lips to his. After a moment, I smiled and pulled away. "Ready for the other eye?"
"Of course, my love."
Once we arrived at the restaurant, I took a deep breath. We had told Emily and John to go ahead and get a table for us once the arrived, and we knew they would have been first because their London residence was closer. "Are you ready to meet them, darling?"
"As ready as I'll ever be." I took his hand, and he squeezed it gently as we walked in. I noticed the two actors immediately, and I took one more deep breath before smiling as we made our way over there.
Emily looked up once we were close, and she smiled widely as she stood. "Hello, Grace and Tom!" She held her arms up for a hug, and it took all I had to contain myself and hug her back.
"Hello. Let me just say, it is an honor to meet both of you." I grinned as we sat down, and John smiled. "I'm a big fan of both of your work, and let me just say, John, binge-watching The Office really helped me destress throughout college."
"That's so wonderful to hear." He smiled softly. Once we ordered, the four of us got to talking, and my nerves immediately went away. The two of them were so sweet and down to Earth, and that definitely helped. I could definitely tell that Emily and I would make a great pair for Donna and Sophie.
Once dinner was finished, we bid our goodbyes before we went our separate ways. I definitely couldn't wait to start rehearsing, especially because we had made some arrangements to get together once we were in California for rehearsals.
"Anything in mind for dessert, baby?" I looked over at him, and he wrapped an arm around my waist.
"Oh, I can think of some great ideas for dessert." I gave him a gentle smile, but it turned into a playful smirk as his hand slid a bit lower.
"As long as we both get a full dessert, that sounds great to me."
The next day, Tom and I decided to just spend a day out together. That didn't take long to turn into an impromptu photoshoot between the two of us.

I smiled as we sat down on a park bench and he wrapped an arm around me. "You know, Beth told me once that she's astounded that we're engaged and still in the honeymoon phase of our relationship."
"Really? And what do you think?" He grinned as he kissed my forehead.
"I think that's halfway accurate, really."
"How so?" He smiled down at me, and I looked up at him.
"You and I were making jokes as we fucked last night, babe." He chuckled at that with a nod.
"Fair point." He smiled, pressing his lips to mine. I grinned as I kissed back, pulling away after a few minutes.
"How does ordering a pizza and watching a lame movie tonight sound?"
