As we all lined up for our procession into the ceremony, Ali pulled me to the side and wrapped me tightly in a hug. "I'm so happy for you, Gracie." She whispered, and I smiled as we hugged.
"Thank you, Ali," I whispered, smiling as we pulled apart. I could see a tear forming, and I shook my head. "No crying. If you cry I'm gonna start crying."
"Okay." She chuckled as we grabbed our bouquets. My parents pulled me into a hug as we got to the end of the line, and I had to repeat my no crying rule to my mom.
Time seemed to stop as the doors opened and the procession began. Tom walked in with his parents, kissing both of their cheeks before taking his spot at the altar.
Steph's smile was wide as she walked with Tessa, making sure that the rings that we had around her collar didn't slip off. Beth walked carefully with Annabelle, gently throwing petals as if Annabelle was the flower girl, and it got a wonderful reaction. I could briefly see Tom smile widely as he saw Annabelle, and it made me smile widely.
Harry, Sam, and Paddy walked in next, and it didn't shock anyone to see that the three youngest Holland brothers were smiling from ear to ear for their eldest brother's wedding. The four brothers embraced at the front of the altar, and I grinned at the sight.
Zendaya and Jacob walked in next, followed by Ali and Harrison as our maid of honor and best man, respectively. Ali shot me a smile as she got into her position, and I took a deep breath as my parents and I stepped into the ceremony space. Everyone stood up, but my eyes were locked on Tom.
He was smiling from ear to ear, his hands folded in front of him. When we finally reached the altar, I hugged both my parents and kissed their cheeks before smiling at Tom. Ali took my bouquet with a grin as I took his hands. 'I love you,' he mouthed silently, and I smiled.
'I love you more.' We turned our attention to the officiant as the ceremony began, but we would frequently sneak glances at each other and smile. We were also fiddling with each other's fingers in hopes to prevent tears from spilling from either of our eyes. In all honesty, I wasn't quite sure what was said, but I knew I wouldn't trade this for anything in the world.
"Tom, Grace, I believe that you have written your own vows." We nodded, and I smiled as he reached into his pocket for his.
"Grace, I don't know if I ever told you this, but I knew from the moment I met you that I was wrong." I raised an eyebrow, and he smiled widely. "Before we had met, I was starting to believe that my busy lifestyle as an actor would prevent me from finding my soulmate. As soon as I watched you dance that very first time, I knew that I was wrong; I finally found her.
"I vow to you that no matter what happens to either or both of us--illness, injury, any other unforeseen circumstance, or anything that terrifies us to the core--I will be right by your side to help you through it. I vow to make you the best you that you can be, just as you make me the best me that I can be. I vow to never stop loving you, no matter what happens."
I smiled as he took a deep breath, folding the paper back up and placing it in his pocket. Ali grinned as she pulled mine out from her boobs, causing a laugh from everyone. I took a deep breath as I opened it, and he smiled widely.
"Tom, I'm not exaggerating in the slightest when I say that meeting you changed my life in the best way possible. The unexpected career change was merely a bonus." He and everyone else chuckled as I smiled widely. "Before we met, I had all but given up on love. I had been hurt badly in the past, and I was too focused on school to even consider it. But then one of the craziest nights of my life happened, and I grew to realize that giving up on love was the worst possible thing I could have done. I fell completely head over heels for you, even before I had realized it.
"I vow that regardless of what happens to us as a family, I will be there whenever you need me most. I vow to be your rock, just as much as you have been for me. I vow that no matter what happens, you will have my heart for the rest of time. I vow to love you as deeply as you've loved me for the rest of our lives."
When we put our rings on, I shut out everything I heard and just focused on what we were doing. We locked eyes the entire time, and I could see by the wrinkles that formed around his crystalline brown eyes that his smile was as wide as mine was.
"By the power vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife." Everyone in attendance cheered as Tom pulled me into a dip, pressing his lips to mine happily. Tessa let out a bark of excitement, and Tom smiled even wider into our kiss.
When we eventually pulled away, I grinned up at him excitedly. "Finally," I whispered, and he smiled even wider.
"Finally," he repeated, grinning as he helped me stand up straight again. I took my bouquet from Ali, smiling from ear to ear as Tom and I made our way out of the ceremony space, our bridal party following close behind so we could get some nice pictures taken before the reception began.
The photoshoot was a nice and relaxing time, and the photographer was sure to get candids of everyone throughout the session as well. When it was time to head to the reception, I pulled Ali off to the side. "I told the DJ that my maid of honor would go up to him and tell him when to do the bouquet toss. Whenever you're ready." She smiled widely, pulling me into yet another tight hug.
"I love you, Gracie."
"I love you too, Ali."
