After a single event changed Grace's life, she turned into one of the biggest up and coming actresses in the industry. With the stress she's facing at work and the things she's dealing with in her personal life, will she be able to fight all of the...
"Hi there, babe." I smiled as I saw Lesley standing outside of the cafe. She gave me a big hug, and I grinned softly. "It means so much to me that you flew all the way out here to see me, Les."
"Are you kidding, Gracie? I wouldn't miss it for the world." She smiled gently as we made our way to the hostess stand, and we grinned as we were sat outside. "I missed you so much, little. Every chance I got to see you on screen was absolutely incredible."
"Did you really see every movie on opening night?"
"Girl, I have exclusive tickets from my theater for being one of the first hundred people to see each one." She smiled as a waitress came over and we ordered our lunch.
"That means so much, beeg. Even after I've been the worst little ever, you're still doing all you can to support me." She shook her head, grabbing my hand.
"Just because we weren't talking, it didn't mean you were the worst little ever. I was able to see you being an amazing woman through your social media, your interviews, and every film you did. Seeing my little be an absolute gem through everything she does means she's the perfect little in my eyes." She grinned gently as our drinks came, and I smiled as I took a sip of my smoothie.

After Tom and I flew back to London, I immediately went back into the audition scene. About a week into my return, I learned that I booked a role in a new drama series the BBC was producing about an immortal couple who is living in the shadows. It was an interesting idea, and I was really excited about it.
Tom was really excited to see me perfect a British accent for the show. "No. I'm going to do this with a dialogue coach."
"Come on, darling! You know how great I am with accents. I can flip to an American accent on a dime."
"And you had a dialogue coach to help you learn to do that." I chuckled as he rolled his eyes.
"Fine, fine. What time do you have to be at the studio for your read-through today?"
"In like an hour. Steph is coming over soon, and we're gonna leave in like fifteen minutes so we can get there early." The studio was about half an hour from our place, so we would be there about fifteen minutes early if we timed it all right and beat traffic.
"So how are you gonna nail a British accent in like an hour?" He chuckled as I rolled my eyes. "I know you don't need it until you start shooting, but you should use it today."
"We'll see. I don't know who else was cast yet, so it depends on if I'm comfortable enough to embarrass myself in front of them." I smiled as I pressed a kiss to his cheek when I heard a knock at the apartment door. "That's Steph." As I stood and opened the door, she pulled me into a hug.
"Are you excited, babe?" She smiled at me, and I nodded.
"Oh yeah. I'm so happy to be able to mess up again." I got a laugh from Tom and Steph at that.
"Steph, would you like something to eat before you guys head on out?" Tom smiled at my assistant, and she smiled.
"Yeah! You guys still keep your fruit in the basket on the counter, right?" I nodded with a smile, and she grabbed an apple from our basket. I pressed a kiss to Tom's head before grabbing the to-go salad I had made for the ride to the studio.
"I'll see you when I get back, baby. I love you." I grinned as I grabbed my things, and he smiled widely as he waved.
"I love you too, darling."
As we walked in, I noticed we were some of the first people to arrive. As I looked for my name card signaling where I'd be sitting, I noticed a familiar name next to mine, and the rest of the card revealed he'd be playing my love interest. This was going to be fun. I sat and hid mine underneath the script at my seat, and Steph rolled her eyes. "Must you always mess with him, Grace?"
"Oh come on, Steph, you know you love doing it too." She chuckled, and as everyone filled in, I kept an ear out for my seatmate. Surprising him depended on him not seeing my face.
Sure enough, I could soon hear his voice. "Yeah, dude, we'll have to get together soon! I'll be here for a while for this show. But don't tell Grace about the show, it's pretty secret right now." I chuckled silently to myself as I heard him approach.
Once he sat down, I grinned at him. "Hey, I'm Grace. We'll be making out for this show." Ryan let out a surprised gasp before chuckling.
"Damn it, Tom, you could have told me that she would be here!" He quickly put his phone on speaker so I could hear what my fiancé had to say.
"Well, I knew she'd be there before you, and she'd take any chance she got to surprise you. I didn't want to accidentally ruin any plans she would possibly have."
"Aww, you know me so well baby!" I chuckled, and both Tom and I chuckled again as Ryan made a throwing up sound.
"You two are so grossly in love." He teased, and I grinned at that.
"Well, I'll let you guys get to your read through. Love you, Grace!"
"Love you too baby!" As Ryan hung up, he looked at me.
"Just when I thought I'd finally be able to stop making out with you." I shoved him playfully, and he chuckled gently. This was going to be fun.
