A few days after the premiere, Tom and I were back in our apartment. I had been expecting a call from a casting agent that I had been in contact with for the past few weeks, so I told Tom to go grocery shopping without me so I could take it.

Just as I thought, the call came in as I was making tea for myself and Tom, who had texted and told me he was on his way back. "Hello?"

"Hi there, Grace. How are you?"

"I'm doing well, how about yourself?"

"Very well, thank you. I've got some exciting news to share." My smile grew as I listened. That one sentence was enough for me to know that I had landed the role.

As Tom walked back into the apartment, I smiled. "Thank you so much! I'm so excited to have this opportunity!" I saw him smile widely, and he pressed a kiss to my cheek as he set the grocery bags on the table. I tucked my phone between my cheek and my shoulder so I could help him put them all away.

"Now, I do have to tell you, you're going to have to keep quiet about this. We haven't officially announced the production is happening, and we want to do that after we cast every part. So far we only have two cast members."

"Wow, really? Who else do you have?"

"Ryan Albertson is your love interest." I smiled at that. I had heard about Ryan, and everyone said he was really nice. I was excited to meet and work with him.

"Wow. So, I have to keep this a secret?"

"You can tell a small number of people, but the less, the better." I nodded as I opened the fridge and put the milk inside.

"Okay. Well, thank you so much, sir. I'll keep an ear out for more news!" When I hung up, Tom smiled at me.

"You got it?" I nodded excitedly, and he pressed his lips to mine. "Congratulations, love."

"Wanna know what it is?" I had kept all the information regarding the role a secret, mainly because I didn't want to jinx myself. But now that I knew, the first person I had to tell was Tom.

"Of course, my darling." After our little fight when he didn't tell me about James Bond, we were perfectly transparent with every role, even when they had to be secret.

"So, you know how American TV networks will do live television productions of stage musicals?" He nodded with a wide smile. "It's a secret right now, but NBC is doing Mamma Mia! next."

"Grace!" He immediately wrapped me in a hug, and I smiled widely.

"You better get real used to listening to ABBA." He chuckled at that before pressing his lips to mine.

"Who would've guessed that we'd both get to play our dream roles?" He smiled as we pulled apart.

"Hey, I never said who I was playing. How do you know I'm not playing Donna, or Tanya, or Rosie, or Sky?"

"Well, I've seen Mamma Mia!, and I know that you're too young for Donna, Tanya, and Rosie, and Sky is a man." He chuckled, and I smiled. "You're going to be an amazing Sophie, Grace. I'm so excited for you."

"I'm so excited about it." I grinned softly. "Now, I gotta tell Steph."

"Anyone else you're gonna tell?"

"No, they wanna keep it a secret until everyone is cast this time." I smiled. "Ali and Beth are going to flip. Mamma Mia! is a Tri Pi favorite."

"I'd love to be a fly on the wall when they find out."

"Oh, we'll definitely be able to arrange a way to see them find out."

About a month later, I got a call from the casting director again while Tom and I were sitting on the couch. "Hello, Grace. We have our entire cast finalized, so I just wanted to let you know that we will be announcing everything next Friday."

"Thank you so much! Can I ask about the cast?" I smiled as I heard a chuckle. They didn't want me knowing much else about the cast, just as a way to shock me as well.

"We will tell you who is playing one role of your choice." I looked at Tom, smiling as I held up one finger to signal they would only tell me who one character is.

"Who's play Donna?" Tom chuckled silently at my choice.

"Emily Blunt."

"Emily Blunt?!" Tom's jaw fell to the floor as soon as I said her name. This was amazing.

"Yes, Emily Blunt." The director chuckled, and I smiled. "I'm gonna let you go, I have a few more calls to make."

"Okay. Thank you for letting me know. I'll see you when rehearsals start!" Once the call ended, I took a deep breath. "Holy fuck. Emily Blunt is playing my mother."

"That's actually amazing. I'm so proud of you." He pressed a kiss to my cheek. "Do you wanna watch a movie, darling?"

"Yeah. Mamma Mia!?"

"Grace, that'll be the third time this week."

"I really want to familiarize myself with it." He sighed softly, taking my hand.

"If you watch it too much, you'll base your performance off of Amanda Seyfried. You won't be able to make it your own."

"But if I study her mannerisms--"

"You'll repeat them. Everyone will want to see Grace in Sophie, not Amanda in Sophie again." He used his other hand to push some hair behind my ear and cup my face. "I want to see Grace in Sophie."

"Okay." I took a deep breath, giving him a smile. "You pick the movie then."

"With pleasure." Tom smiled, grabbing the remote. Soon, the opening credits to the Mary Poppins movie starring Emily Blunt came on. "Let's geek out over your production mom one more time before you meet her."

"Now that is something I can agree with." I chuckled as I laid my head on his shoulder, snuggling into him. I knew that this was going to be a lot of pressure, but it was something I was so excited for.
