It just so happened that right after Tom got over his cold, the two of us were flying to California for a few months. Mamma Mia! was being broadcast from the NBC lot outside of Los Angeles and Tom was shooting an independent project not far away, so we were pretty much living in California until the broadcast in September.
I personally was so excited to be living with Ali again. She and Zendaya had so graciously offered to let the two of us stay with them while we were here, and I couldn't wait to wreak havoc with Ali like old times again.
While we were seated in Heathrow airport, Ali and I were acting like we were already with each other, and Tom was chuckling as he read our exchange.

"You and Ali are so fucking weird." Tom chuckled as he read the comments on her post.
"Oh, I know. Wanna see my favorite picture of her? It exemplifies how fucking weird we are." He raised an eyebrow as he nodded, and I smiled as I scrolled through my images. "This was during our Spring Fling sophomore year. I gave her all the essentials to keep her entertained when she wanted to be alone in our room after the first half of the day ended. I didn't want to actually leave her alone in the room, so I made her think she was."
Tom let out a loud laugh as he looked at the picture--Ali sitting in a big cardboard box, a bottle of vodka in one hand and a set of washable markers in the other. "I love it."
"She spent ten minutes crying because the markers weren't working at first."
"Why didn't they work?"
"She never took the caps off." Tom started laughing even harder, and I smiled. "I love the girl to death, I truly do, but she's quite a character when she's drunk."
"Oh, I'm fully aware of how crazy drunk Ali is." I shook my head at that, and he raised an eyebrow.
"You're never fully aware of how crazy drunk Ali is until you've followed drunk Ali outside at three thirty am when she didn't have shoes on." He laughed loudly again, and I chuckled as I laid my head down on his shoulder. "That was when she got out of bed the third time that night to go on an adventure."
"Completely barefoot?"
"No, she had socks on. I gotta give her some credit there." I chuckled, and he smiled.
"No wonder Zendaya is so calm. She's gotta balance out Ali." I nodded at that, my smile growing.
"They're so in love, though. And I'm so happy to see them happy." I grinned, and with that, Tom wrapped an arm around me.
"You know who else is so in love?"
"If your cheesy ass says us or yourself I'm banning cuddles on the plane." I looked up at him, and he immediately smiled and kissed my head.
"I won't say it then." I rolled my eyes playfully as I snuggled as closely into him as I could in our airport seats.
"Did I ever tell you about my first experience in Heathrow?" I looked up at him, and he shook my head. "It was that trip I took after I graduated high school."
"The one where you got lost in London?" I rolled my eyes as he chuckled. "So what happened at the airport?"
"Well, I was running on a solid hour of sleep, first off." He chuckled. "We arrived like an hour before security opened, so we were all waiting to go through the machines. When they scanned my carry on, they set it aside for further inspection because they were afraid they had found a blade."
"What?" He raised an eyebrow.
"It took me and the security guy ten minutes of searching and him completely deconstructing my bag for them to realize it was my hairbrush handle that came to a point." He laughed at that, and I chuckled. "I was pissed, as you can imagine. I was even more pissed when he wouldn't help me put everything away."
"I can just imagine you tiredly pouting as you shoved your shit into a backpack." He smiled at me, knowing I preferred backpacks as carry on bags.
"That's exactly what I did." I smiled, pressing a kiss to his cheek.
"Flight 154 to Los Angeles is now ready to board." I grinned as we stood up, gathering our bags as we went to get on board. Tom kissed my head as we walked, reaching down to tangle our fingers together.
"Doesn't this airline have a personal bathroom for first class?" He looked at me, and when I nodded, he grinned. "At some point, you and I should sneak in there together."
"You're such a perv." I chuckled, but when he laughed and shrugged, I smiled. "I'll let you know when," I whispered, and that brought a wide smile to his face.
