After a single event changed Grace's life, she turned into one of the biggest up and coming actresses in the industry. With the stress she's facing at work and the things she's dealing with in her personal life, will she be able to fight all of the...
As Steph hopped in the car to head to set, I saw her smile. "I'm surprised she's still asleep."
"I mean, she woke up when I changed her diaper and got her dressed, but she fell right back asleep when I put her in the car seat. She's basically associated it with sleeping at this point." I chuckled as we made our way to set. The sun was rising as I drove, and it was as beautiful as always.
"Are you excited to go back to set?"
"Oh, definitely. Don't get me wrong, I loved being with my family, but I got a little stir crazy as time went on." She chuckled at that, and I smiled. "What about you? You get to dote over my daughter all day."
"I'm so ready for that, you have no idea. Auntie Steph is going to be a bomb ass aunt." I chuckled as I pulled into my spot.
"I'm glad to hear it." As I got out of the car and grabbed her car seat, I could hear some chatter on the set. We all walked in, and I was met with a huge banner saying Welcome Back Grace and Annabelle!.
"Grace!" I was immediately pulled into Ryan's arms, and I chuckled as I hugged back with the arm not holding Annabelle. "You're not allowed to go into your trailer yet."
"That's always a pleasant thing to hear when you get back from three and a half months of being offset." I chuckled, and he smiled gently.
"I know!" He kissed my cheek playfully, and I chuckled.
"Loser. So, should I just get straight to hair and makeup then, if I can't be in my trailer?"
"Sure, go ahead. I gotta do my own thing, I'll see you on set!" With that, he rushed off, and I chuckled gently.
"Steph, I'm gonna take Annabelle in with me to hair and makeup so I can feed her." She nodded with a smile as I made my way to hair and makeup with Annabelle.
Once she was eating and I was settled, the hairstylist and I began a casual conversation as I scrolled through Instagram. Becoming a mother had made me a queen of multitasking.

As I set my phone down, the hairstylist smiled. "I know you've had a rough past few months, but you're doing so well, Grace."
"Thank you, Alex." I grinned at her through the mirror as Annabelle decided she was done eating for now. "Do you know anything about me not being allowed in my trailer?"
"You're not allowed in your trailer?" I just barely shook my head as I burped Annabelle. "Who said that?"
"Ryan."
"Something tells me that he has a surprise for you in there." She chuckled, and I nodded.
"Probably, now that I think about it."
Once I was done with hair and makeup, I took Annabelle over to my trailer, knowing my outfit for today was in there. As I stepped in, I could see Ryan surrounded by the parts to a baby swing. "Want some help?" I chuckled gently. He looked up in shock, and then he sighed.
"This was supposed to be a surprise for your trailer. I know you got a set swing, but I wanted you to have one in here too." I smiled widely as he took a deep breath, pushing a hand through his hair.
"That's super sweet, Ryan." I set Annabelle's car seat down, going and hugging him gently. "Do you want some help setting it up?"
"Please?" He chuckled, and I smiled.
Once the two of us were on set and Steph had Annabelle under her care, the episode director came up to us. "So, you two, this is something a little out of the box you need to do for this scene, and in the interest of full disclosure, none of us know how to do it ourselves." I chuckled at that, and Ryan raised an eyebrow. "We did find a few videos about it though, so you guys can learn about it through those." As he opened a laptop, I noticed one of the production managers bringing over a bushel of steamed crabs.
"We don't need those videos. Come on, Ryan, I'm gonna teach you how to pick a crab." The director perked an eyebrow, and I smiled. "I've known how to do this since I was a kid. I can teach him."
"Okay, Grace." He chuckled as I took Ryan to the bushel of crabs, sitting him down and teaching him how to pick a crab.
By the time we had finally gotten enough usable footage for the scene, we were running an hour and a half later than we should have. It was all my fault, too--my expertise in crab picking was too good. I was moving too fast for the cameras to get usable footage of what I was doing. As we made our way to the craft services table for lunch, Ryan shoved me playfully. "You're officially too good at something. How does that feel?"
"Pretty weird. I mean, I never imagined that would ever happen." I chuckled, and he shrugged gently.
"It's a unique situation, really. But seriously, thank you for teaching me how to pick a crab. I can't wait to show Beth that I know how to do one of her home state's staples."
"It'll impress her that you learned Maryland's favorite past time, sure. Too bad she doesn't like seafood." He sighed gently at that, and I chuckled.
"Fuck, I forgot she hates seafood. Teach me something else?"
"Learn to shotgun a Natty Boh and you're set, dude." I chuckled as I patted his back playfully, taking my lunch to Annabelle and Steph as he pulled his phone out, presumably to Google what I had just said.
Let me know your thoughts! I'm preparing for some big things soon :-)
