One Day At A Time

Y'all I'm so sorry for not updating. I been busy but I just threw this chapter together so y'all can have somethin.

I quickly turned off the alarm I had set and put my phone back down. Getting up, I went to the bathroom and did my morning routine.

I wanted to bring Ava to school today so I set my alarm , but I ended up waking up earlier than the alarm so I was just chillin til the alarm actually did go off.

Hazel and I always bring Ava to school whenever she has to go, but I never miss the first day. Since I did miss her first day this year, and second, I'm gonna bring her today since I am here. Just a little making up as I should say.

Like they always say, third times the charm right ?

After cleanin myself up and brushing my teeth and stuff, I went to her room so I can wake her up.

"Wake up princess." I shook her.

She slowly opened her eyes and looked at me before she closed them again.

"5 more minutes."

I smacked my teeth and sat on her bed. After watchin her sleep for what felt like forever, I shook her to wake her up again.

I can tell that she was half woke, but she was trying to fall back asleep.

"Ava the house on fire!" I yelled making her jump out her sleep.

Demi and Hazel used to stay doin this to Karter when she was this age and never wanted to get up. They would tell her the house or car on fire, they at Disney World, Chuck E Cheese, anything to wake her up.

"Daddy that's not funny."

"Yes it is. I told you to get up."

"I don't wanna go to school."

"Why not?"

"Because."

"Because what?"

"Nothing."

That's weird. She always did like school. Maybe it gettin to her how hard school is getting since she getting older. Whatever it is I'll ask her about it later.

She tried to lay back down but I picked her up and bought her to the bathroom. After she brushed her teeth and washed her face, she went back to her room and got ready.

While she did that I went downstairs and made me some cereal. I didn't even notice Hazel walked downstairs until she came in the kitchen to make some coffee.

"You was serious bout bringin her to school today huh?" She asked rubbing her eyes.

"Yeah."

"Hmm that's cute."

Ava came downstairs and I rinsed my bowl and spoon out so I could fix her some cereal in that bowl. I got her cereal and gave it to her.
